Ship - The Defender

News and intelligence coming out of Rodia since the recent attack on that planet had been hard to come by. The reasons behind the conflict were, as far as the NSLR understood, still unknown. Details were sketchy. What was known was that the people were suffering, and that was enough for Arla to take Relief Force in, and bring some friends. She had contacted the Atrisians and a few reputable companies and organizations who were known to be decent beings. They did not have to come, but they were invited to help.

There was an element of risk to the operation, if there was still a strong Mandalorian presence, they could be walking into a full scale war. That was not a deal breaker for the Echani Commander, but it did necessitate taking reasonable precautions. The NSLR force tasked to the Rodia operation was a very large one by their standards. Arla had committed almost all her available assets to security.

Relief Force came out of light speed near the edge of the Rodia star system. Defender was the largest ship, Arla's own flagship and command vessel. Alongside to port and starboard were two grand cruisers. Surrounding the three major capital ships were a host of frigates and carriers. The carriers stayed tight in with the grand cruisers while the frigates were in a defensive formation arrayed around the center of the fleet.

The mood in the command suite aboard Defender was calm, with faces glowing green from the battle displays, and orders and reports exchanged in calm, clipped tones. Everyone was on edge, but as professionals, they were driven by their training and experience to focus on their jobs, to be ready when needed.

The Commander's approach was caution, both strategically and tactically. With the fleet having made the jump and formed up, she ordered sensor scans of Rodia and the system. She wanted to know what was out there before they made their approach to the planet. If their landing was to be contested or not, if anyone would object to their presence at all. Would the locals welcome help? She needed hard information. She kept her own communications silent for now, waiting to see if anyone took notice of the fleet that had just jumped into Rodia space.

Celt watched in the distance as a small convoy of relief vehicles trundled along the road that wrapped around the edge of the forest then plunged into a nearby valley where rodian settlement was located. There were a half dozen speeder trucks in this convoy and they were escorted by a pair of characters on speeder bikes. Ahead of them... ahead of them? What's this? A trio of native trucks was parked up along the road with their crews milling about. "This looks like a rendezvous... what do you think? Arms?" Celt asked of one of the commandos that accompanied her, also watching through his macros.

"Dunno, got quite a lot of rebel activity here, could be?"

That was enough for Celt, she signalled to him and the other three commandos to follow her. She activated her jump pack, quickly crossing the half kilometre to the road and landing in front of the lead truck, accompanied by her team. She was armed with her rifle and had it aimed at the driver who stopped, likely under orders not to annoy the local mandalorian occupation unnecessarily.

"Good decision!" she shouted. "Now, what's in the trucks?"

"Why? Its just rice and protein powders..."

"Call it a hunch! Now, show me, if I'm wrong I look silly, if I'm right... you don't want me to be right."

One of her commandos spun up his rotary cannon while pointing it in the air just to emphasise her point.

"It seems the local Mandalorians have this place on lockdown."

Kahlil let out a sigh as he stared out the viewport of the Bastion, arms crossed over his chest. He was here this time. There was going to be no senate meeting. A different group had set out to help the Rodians after the last attack, so why wouldn't the Jedi help? Countless reasons, probably, but Kahlil wasn't going to sit on his hands or try to talk to a bunch of pig headed geezers who'd never seen a battlefield in a couped up rich building.

Yeah, he was tired of the Senate already.

He glanced over to Valery, giving her a brief smile.

"What do you think? Should we regroup with the NSLR and see what they plan to do before anything else?"

Back to Rodia.

Valery had been one of the few Jedi who had traveled there to confront the Mandalorians and return the captive Padawan. This time, however, she was going back not necessarily to fight, but to offer aid to the Rodians who had been hurt or suffered damages during the Mandalorian takeover. She wasn't going to be alone either.

Her husband and fellow Jedi Council Member sat beside her in the Bastion, clearly deep in thought about everything that was going on. But when he looked over with a bried smile, she was ready and reached out to place a hand om his shoulder.

After that senate meeting, she hoped that being out here to actually make a difference would help him feel better.

"Sounds like a good idea. I'd rather help the people and avoid trouble as much as we can. I'll also reach out to the people below to see if any of them want to directly work with us." With that said, Valery opened comms and spoke clearly.

<We're Jedi Masters Valery and Kahlil Noble. Where can we go to help?>

Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch had come to aid Atrisia's aid with the relief efforts on Kiliea... it seemed only fair that they return such a favor and aid... that it also allowed her to test out the newest vessel Kōgō Heika Mk. III for herself and her own personal protection... well that was only beneficial. THey had deployable medical pods that would allow them to have hospitals on the planet as well as fabricators for their food and cleaners for water. Her otachi handmadiens were there and at the ready aas they stood on the bridge of the ship in their jade colored robes... faces obscured and Junko wore makeup. THe solari face paint that glowed when in the presence of the lightside of the force giving an ethereal look. Graceful in her kimono that barely exposed any skin aside from her face or hands as she walked with Xifang and brought the ship up and in to form up with the rest. They had the stealth systems developed in case of attack and could hold or evacuate if mandalorians wanted to come back and attack.

Corbin stepped back after making the finishing touches to the last habitation dome generator for the town. "That should do it. Start her up." Dhem, a local Rodian business owner, gave a thumbs up and powered the generator. It rumbled, as the habitation field shot out and connected the other generators to cover the entire town.

"Really appreciate you helping us repair things. No offense, but you Mandalorians can sure cause some damage. Though, you get used to it, if you've lived as long as I have, what with all the tribes warring against each other."

"Still," Corbin replied, staring out across the town, "this kind of destruction was not necessary. Setting off a bomb in the middle of town? Violent rebels, sure, but these were unarmed civilians. Innocents. You sure nobody saw who did it."

The man shook his head. "If anybody did, they can't say, on account of being caught in the blast."

"Blast!" Corbin seethed on the inside that one of his own would do such a thing. The Rishi incident could be forgiven, but this was completely different. And the perpetrator would likely get away completely free. The negative emotions boiled inside him so much that he couldn't even access the Force at all. Even the vision from his Force Sight was blurry, requiring him to be entirely dependent on his physical eyes to see. It was something he wasn't used to.

When he had first arrived, he had checked out the epicenter of the blast zone. He had felt the spirits crying out before they finally moved on to join the Cosmic Force. One of the people killed had held a dormant Force-sensitivity. Corbin had actually cried, feeling that. He never cried. But that pain had been too much for him. Yet he still labored to do what he could to help the people here, with or without the Force. He would be the example, even if the rest of his vode forgot what that meant. Dhem placed a hand on Corbin's left pauldron. "At least we know some of you still care about the people and not just about occupying the planet."

Corbin shook himself out of his funk, feeling more determined to get things done. "Come on, we still have work to do." He could feel a little of the Force flow back. Only a little, but it was something.

Objective 4 - Scavenge...?
Ship - "Tranquil Odyssey"

Marigold have been getting too many nightmares recently, barely able to sleep, waking up in cold sweat to screams and coughs. People she never saw, people she never knew, dying in horrifying ways she didn't know was possible. And amongst the cacaphonic destruction and sundering of her mind, she kept seeing familiar faces, items, places. It felt like two events were taking place at the same time, mixing together into incomprehensible jumbled mess, leaving her controting on her bed while trying to shake off those terrible nightmares, it'd be over soon, probably.

Though, she woke up to a horrifying discovery that Rodia has been attacked. The young huntress had no connections there, no friends. But she found herself practically gravitating there for no reason. It felt like she was being pulled, a metaphysical hail she'd answer, maybe... She could scavenge what was left of the battles? Probably that, maybe that's the reason why she was being pulled here?

Though, she didn't have much time to mull over the true nature of her trip to the war-torn world. Several pings showed up on Marigold's scanner, as her small, personal transport ship floated towards more outer reaches of the planet. "Fark, well, I ain't dealing with that." The young huntress responded, even though no one could hear her, simply disabling her transponder and starting to speed towards the fringes, supposing that whatever the task force fleet was doing, it's more important matter than giving chase to a lone civilian hull. Speeding off at high speeds. "Chit-chit-chit... They aren't going to follow, they are MOST likely aren't going to follow. You're good Mari, just gotta land somewhere obscure and hide the ship." She kept mumbling to herself,

For the relief fleet however, it did appear strange, a single, barely armed civilian hull, who turned off their transponders at the sight of them. Speeding off to land somewhere away from the main zone of conflict. Leaving the crew of relief fleet force to decide with very little information available. All things considered though. It wasn't that far away from one of the possible Landing Zones, which could intervene with one or more of their objectives.

Supisy was giddy in the pilot’s seat of the Deviant. She loved being on Atrisia and settling into her new life as a transport pilot instead of a smuggler. The young Twi’lek could usually make watching grass grow exciting, and Atrisia with all its interesting people was definitely better than grass. At the same time when Princess Junko came to Supisy and Latyuo stating that an ally was in need of their talents the two jumped at the chance. Latyuo probably did it because it was the right thing to do. She was a goodie goodie like that. Supisy, she did it for the reasons that she always did things. Firstly, appreciation for the two people who had taken her from being a slave on the auction blocks to becoming a respectable Atrisian “Lady”. And second, in hopes that there would be some kind of excitement that would have her piloting her ass off at the controls of her favorite ship.

The Deviant had been updated with all the latest Atrisian tech that belonged on a freighter. But Supisy put her foot down on the AI that was suggested. No computer brain was welcome handling the controls of her baby. Latty could use a droid to calculate jumps and make repairs, but the controls were for Supisy’s hands only. Or Latty in a pinch. When the jump was complete, Supisy's hands went right to her controls. ”We’re ready and waiting for deployment Princess. Let us know where we’re needed.”

"That's them, huh?" Sahan mused. He relayed a message to air control. <Let them land. If they're really here to help the Rodian citizens, then that just saves us resources we don't have to use. It's a win/win. As long as they're not harboring anyone wanted by the Enclave, there should be no issues.>

Sahan had been temporarily stationed here to help keep things a little orderly. Apparently the Karjr guildmaster had been busy with... other things. And there were plenty of other Karjr to take the task, and Sahan had been the one chosen, for whatever reason. He didn't mind at all. He wasn't currently working on any projects, so a little break from his Forge under the Temple of Javarr was a welcome break.

Sahan looked up at Ure'adtr, his Basilisk droid. "Come on, Gold, let's go meet our guests."

The alert that hostile forces had been detected in the Rodia system that Arla had been expecting, never came. No hostile armada awaited them in planetary orbit, or anywhere else in the system unless it was hidden from view.

First potential hurdle avoided. Relief Force remained in formation, on approach to Rodia. Caution was still warranted, in the form of the defensive makeup of the flotilla, but they could relax a little. The main command bridge of Defender was as icy calm as its Commander's voice.

Bring us into orbit. Carriers to deploy tractor drones only. I want a medfort on the ground as soon as possible.

She gave orders simply, calmly, keeping to the plan. So far there had been no success in getting into contact with the planetary government. No doubt they had their hands full dealing with the aftermath of a Mandalorian assault. Relief Force's drones were under the watchful command of Wing Commander Varus Dralthy. He was a rarity among the Alulan exiles, a high ranking military officer without benefit of having come from the noblity. That meant he was both dedicated and talented.

With the escort of the mobile hospital under his skilled command, Commander Susni was free to oversee the entire operation. The mobile medical facility moved away from the fleet, held by a grav barge which was dwarfed by the large building-sized vehicle. Two squadrons of tractor drones provided assistance to carry the big thing down to the surface. Once it was in place they would act as medivac units, bringing casualties and patients to the surface hospital facility which would be operational the moment it touched down.

Communications came in from the allies and friends who had shared the risk of confronting the mandalorians with the NSLR, and who had likewise come to help Rodia and the rodian people. Arla handled those herself. With no direct line to the planetary government, she chose to make a wide band broadcast on an open channel.

People of Rodia, friends and allies, we have come to provide aid and medical care to those in need. With your permission we will establish an aid zone on the edge of Iskaayuma. Help is here for anyone who requires it. We come in peace, and will only act to defend ourselves from direct attack.

With that broadcast, their friends, any potential enemies, and the locals, would all know who they were and why they were here. Now Arla hoped that the landing went unopposed and smoothly, because once they were on the ground, the hard work could begin. Relief Force moved into a high orbit as the first of the ground units began to deploy. Transports moved away from the fleet and into the atmosphere, following the hospital down, carrying the security units that would protect it, the Echani Moonguard among them.

"Quite a crowd." She said it sitting there and there was more of a chance... Supisy and Latyuo were able to come around with their ship while she remained there. Not needing to lean forward in the seat just adjust the screen so she could make out the ones transmitting and working with Arla. " Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch , this is princess Junko from Atrisia... we have medical pods for deployment and medical fabricators. We just need places marked to deploy them on the ground." THey had more but she was looking at the screens and their sensors as it went out. The announcement should help and she looked over at Barca. "If there are hostile forces on the ground can you handle them?" SHe said it and the large mandalorian nodded. "I could lead a few teams down but might not be in the best taste." She said it but was in her armored handmaiden robes with Kirano and Uzeki there who could help in combat better. Junko nodded. "Fair enough but than we'll have a mobile base prepared in case... and I want the shielding ready to be used if we need it. We can find the best place to hover and provide shielding."
