Rogue Jedi Order

Some of you may find this familiar. Yep. That's exactly what this is.

We're a wandering flotilla of Jedi who believe that the Republic and the Jedi Order as it stands are wrong. Balance is a good thing. Supporting a government isn't exactly the best thing. And we do enjoy hunting down Sith. So, uh, yeah. No plans of domination, just a random assorted league of lightsaber-wielding not-so-hippies.

Just to let you know we're a thing. ;)

Probably some philosophical difference between them and the orthodox Jedi Order. Maybe pre-emptive strikes, or aggressively seeking out the evil-doers (and Sith), for the purposes of putting them down for the betterment of the Galaxy?

Or maybe they've just got a better cookie recipe than the Order and don't want to share.

(actually, it's canonically both, because the original group RPed out awesome cookies)

But yeah, uh. Balance requires not supporting one group over the other, and all.

My point is that the Republic already does that because the Jedi Council is not in its own independent ivory tower anymore. So if you want to go strike the Sith, you mostly can, though with a bit of input from those in charge.

Regardless, good luck!

I believe the idea is that this faction has no ties to the Council or Republic.

Not all Jedi have to join the Republic, and having another obviously Jedi place for new Jedi to go might help balance the faction imbalance. Plus the Jedi in the Republic are kind of militarized now it seems, where these Jedi follow only their code.

But the Jedi Order is a specific set of rules, of boundaries. You can still do good while outside those boundaries. Hell, what if the Republic is part of the problem? What if the Jedi Order just plain up isn't for some people? This is the alternative.

I disagree, Darron, speaking as a guy who was one of the oldest Rogues at that guy's playground. ;)

Zen, a proposition. I'm probably going to be separating myself from the Republic. The Echani accept any and all willing to learn their lifestyle and join them, and possess many Force users amongst them. Could you make use of that within a society of warriors?
