- Religion/Beliefs:
- A nomadic desert dwelling species, they do not seek to take over other planets preferring the harsh conditions of their own world. They prefer a much simpler aspect to life with family and the tribe. Some occasionally marrying off to unite tribes or breaking off some some others to make their own. They fight among each other over resources but are usually able to regulate how much they use. Tribes choosing to stay in some borders they make for themselves.
With visitors to the planet they have learned to avoid them and fight back, working in the harsh environment using it to their advantage. The ability to make water last instead of drinking all of it and ways to find water in the desert come a long way as well as the need for minimal gear and equipment. Against some of the more dangerous creatures on the world they often know how to band together so they can defeat it.
Art and sports wise they do not have many of them, they do make images for the gods to see in the desert. Creating massive images in the sand as well as on the salt flats. Their sports usually involve ways of teaching their children how best to conserve resources as well as keep their head in stressful situations. Among outsiders the tribes usually present a rough exterior ready to fight them to protect their resources.
The Guardians: A sect of the tribes that is like a combined council except it is of the strongest warriors. Sometimes force users, sometimes non force users. They are sent to train at the major city on the planet and meet with the jedi when they come to visit. They report and if supplies are needed or dangerous situations arise they can report it in and receive aid. The Guardians are given their power by the clans and able to police all of them across the planet.
Abominations: A force user within the tribes, able to access the genetic memories of those in their blood lines. Their parents, their grandparents and ancestors up until the date of conception. This can give them benefits of skills the others have known or trained as an instinct to do things. In case of some of the things they have it can also go to dangerous territory as the memories and mind if it is strong enough can overtake them.
Abominations are the ones who have lost their minds to a memory and allowed it to control them. The Guardians are usually sent to kill them. The ones who have been born with this ability are sought for and hunted by the guardians. To be trained or killed if they should have allowed the memories to control them. It is not considered a good job but for those who can be trained as guardians they can achieve a great deal within the order.

- General behavior:
- Among themselves: They are very social by nature and enjoy working with each other towards a common goal within the tribe of hunting and gathering when they need for several days or just that one. Teaching each other where problems might arise in the desert from the creatures on the world. Training the young in how best to manage their resources before heading off into the different desert caves and mountains that they can work with.
Among Outsiders: They are different, most outsiders do not come to the world let alone into the desert where they live. Facing large sand worms that burrow under the sands and the dangerous creatures across the world that came when the ship crashed long ago. They are not violent towards them but if encountered they will usually restrict where they can go keeping away the resources for the protection of the clan. However they can be hospitable willing to share a meal and table with those who come with good intention.
Force Users: Force users within the species are rare but not unheard of they work with a shaman in the tribe, the force users are trained to sense and find water in the desert or find living creatures that could be used for food. Some if they prove special and skilled in battle or defense can be sent to the guardians a high honor within the tribes that will show them interacting with the jedi that have built a temple on the planets.

There is not much from the world, it has been primarily a desert for the length of known history and the Rol-Lor have been there wandering the desert. Occasionally finding and settling in a place for a few centuries and making a civilization but they have not ever built beyond a certain point. Usually the city being left as the population returned to the desert allowing the sand to reclaim the city then another couple thousand years would pass.
But with their lack of a real history and culture that can vary from tribe to tribe that doesn't mean they don't have things in common. There are shared legends, shared myths about the great lizards that came from the sky and could tear the souls from populace. Some of them went and established cities in the mountains that became trade hubs that people from the sky later known as the Republic visited. All of it adding to what they knew for their history but still allowing them to maintain their traditions.
Long ago when the beings from the sky came they enslaved the Rol-Lor making them build structures to their greatness. As the centuries of slavery continued things changed, beings came to the world known as hounds and a temple was built to train them. Following behind them was another ground who were trying to stop some of the creatures making a great deal of what they could face. Wanting to inspire the locals to rise up and stop them themselves the first Guardians were created.
The guardians fought rising up out of the desert on the backs of the large desert swelling worms to attack the temples and face against some of the hounds as they managed to mostly get wiped out. A few surviving but their failure helped to inspire the workers to revolt unleashing some of the enslaved creatures on the builders until they were retreating with their hounds from the world. Turning their cities to glass as well as decimating the population.
Withe the builders gone and a chance for them to have their world the ones who came to inspire them left leaving a small area and temple with a way to communicate and contact them should it be needed. The Rol-Lor were working on some of the things to establish a city that could work for other people. They had no real interest of staying in one place but they could create something. it wasn't much though in the end just a few buildings around where the people had taken over some of the temples.
They left it with some caretakers as well as a few guardians that had survived in case of danger returning. The tribes scattered to the corners of the world to live and search for their lives. Eventually as the tribes gathered a few thousand years later to create and build Acsion a city for one tribe united. It didn't last long only three thousand years but their population swelled and it allowed for the establishment of spice trading to the galaxy for visiting slugs who wanted it.
They couldn't keep up with the demand and as the city crumbled under the pressure from the slug lords it cause the tribe to break up into hundreds of smaller ones usually families and those who were with them. Returning to the desert to wander several thousand more years. Returning together to found another city, this one near the massive crashed ship that had brought dangerous creatures to the world long ago. The dinosaur like lizards that attacked and ate the peoples.
This second city they created was not perfect and suffered from much of the same problems but it allowed tribes from across the planet to mingle and create new bloodlines instead of just the ones in their regions. New diversity could save the people and protect them from abominations and abnormalities. One of the big things they found was the presence of force users who could access dreams and memories of the people.
These being were in ways always known, ones who knew answers to questions they shouldn't but now they were becoming easier to see and detect. The united tribes protected them but also worked to make sure they were trained as one of the core beliefs of seeing ancestral memory was that they could look at you and take over your mind. A dangerous prospect but as mental health issues arose with most of them after awhile it was not a superstition they were wanting to risk.
As the second great city of the tribes elected one such woman to power she started to become erratic, relying on the spice to allow her to see what she called visions of their past when in essence it was one of the more evil ancestors influencing her. A hound who force himself on her ancestor being pulled to the surface to overtake her body and while sharing skills in the blade and force she was also killing people in fits of madness.
With her madness overtaking her the guardians were called in, having received more training from the jedi order and reinforcements from the republic they were able to protect the people as the tribes scattered leaving the woman locked away in her palace taking to the ancestors in her mind. The tribes found themselves back to the corners of the world and somewhat protected when the plague came by not interacting as the few who chose to be in the city where the jedi temple resided died.
The people were seen as sick and needing to be avoided as the plague spread out across them all but the more remote could be protected from contact. After the plague and in the darkness the tribes banded together for some of them to make larger tribes for survival. Finding a purpose as they worked with the guardians and the Republic to build up where needed finding a use for the moisture evaporators to have a supply of water in the desert that all tribes could use.
They have been working on things over time, working to establish a friendly relationship with the galaxy sending one or two guardians offworld to bring their unique perspective to the jedi but also take away and learn about the depths that the force can do. The guardians can bring back the information and training teaching them what they learned so the guardians can learn how to better protect their worlds. Caretaking of the temple grounds to train others.
THe years have been kind to the Rol, as the core and the deeper core largely remained intact through the warss the spice flowed from their planet. Protecting it in a way as the credits to be made from keeping it and the workers there were important. So they got to spread out over the years and join other planets in the galaxy. Being invited to places like Atrisia as they resemebed the jar'kai an obscure species from the planet who evolved on the surface after attack. Study played into them maybe being cousins in a way seperated by different evolutionary lines.
