Roll Out

Taeli smiled as she sat in the swivel chair in her new office at L&L Robotics on Coruscant, it had certainly been worth the bid to gain control of L&L Robotics. While she would still primarily operate out of her office at Krayt Industries, she would use this one when she needed to act the part of Eriana Glasin.

She was quite proud of the alias, and all the backstory she had given herself, from being born on Corellia with two siblings and moving around the Core Worlds with her parents until she decided to enroll within the Coruscant School of Business, as it would withstand most scrutiny. If someone checked, they would be re-routed to certain subordinates that would confirm the story and their identities, and to stop Force users from knowing, she could focus on her Vong coral seed to mask her presence in the Force, she could make sure the illusion of being someone else stayed. She had kept herself insulated from galactic politics for the most part. Skimming through the few products the company had, she frowned a bit and sighed. So much needed to be done to innovate and grow this company as well.

As she scrolled, her mind turned towards Ice and she felt a warm glowing feeling rise up in her. Perhaps a small joke and deal might bring him here for some . . . other times.

"I understand you like to deal in weapons and technology, I would be interested in making a deal as I need help with my company, kindly come to the offices of L&L Robotics and we can discuss it. Sincerely, Eriana Glasin," she muttered, typing the message on her office terminal and sending it. New game, she thought.

Ice's datapad was pinged an incoming message. Seeing who it was caused him to raise an eyebrow. "What in the world...who is this, and how does she have my contact information?" He said annoyingly to himself. Ice took great pains to keep most everything about himself a secret. How this person got a hold of his personal contact information was a troubling mystery that would need to be solved quickly. Pulling up his datapad, he typed out a quick message.

To: Miss Eraina Glasin
From: Ice

Greetings,

On behalf of STI, I thank you for thinking of us in regard to assisting you with your company. I look forward to our possibly being able to collaborate in the future. As I am very pressed for time at the moment, I'll be sending my represenative to handle the negotiations. Hopefully soon we can meet in person as well. Till then, take care.

Ice

With the message away, he prepared to make the trip himself. He'd simply go in disguise. It was amazing after all, what one could glean when people didn't realize it was you. Taking a small craft, he soon found himself on Coruscant yet again. Hopefully this meeting would be vastly more pleasant that the reason he was last here on this world, he thought to himself.

Having arrived at the headquarters of L&L Robotics, he was led to a room of what he was told was this "Eriana Glasin". "Good afternoon." Came the friendly voice of Ice as he called out to the woman on the other side. He felt a strange sensation as he walked into the room though. Almost like a presence of some sort that seemed familiar. It actually put him on edge slightly as he wasn't sure yet what was going on.

Taeli sighed to herself as [member="Ice"]'s representative arrived and spoke. She had been so looking forward to Ice's expression when he saw who exactly was running L&L Robotics now, it would have been priceless. No matter, she could still do business with this being and eventually she could get that expression ingrained in her memory. Although, something about her guest's Force presence was tickling her senses, it was so familiar and yet the voice was not Ice so she wrote it off to an echo effect.

Turning her chair, she smiled at him and said, "Welcome, welcome. I was hoping your boss would be the one to come here, but that is okay. I was wondering if we could do business together. Eriana Glasin, at your service."

There was indeed a surprised expression on the man's face as the woman spun around in her chair. His expression soon disappeared though as he couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "Eriana Glaisin indeed." He said in an accusing manner, though as a smile began to appear after the laugh. "Seriously Taeli, if you're going to go parading around as someone else, you need to at least disguise yourself when you do it."

The man before pressed a button on a device that lay wrapped around his upper arm, and at that moment his appearance changed back to his normal form. "Like me." He said with a laugh as he walked around the the table to embrace his lover and give her a kiss.

"So it would seem you have been busy since I last saw you. How did you manage to acquire this company? I heard the auction was a rather unique affair." He was curious as he too had put a rather substantial bid on it not realizing she was the other party.

Taeli froze as [member="Ice"] deactivated his disguise module. Well that was unexpected, but accepted the kiss gladly.

"Your advice is duly ntoed," she said, looping her arms around his neck and smiling. "I'm glad you came though. As for how I got the company from Alric, I put up a bid for eight of Krayt's Elytra-class frigates, two hundred thousand credits, and a contract to produce a ship for Blas-Tech Industries to Alric's specifications."

She then looked suspiciously at her lover.

"Why do you ask? I heard someone else placed a bid, but Alric still considered mine higher. . ." she trailed off as her mind went through the facts of the auction. "YOU! You put out the other bid!"

Ice listened in disbelief as he heard what the winning bid was. After doing a few quick calculations in his head, he couldn't believe how ridiculous it was that he lost. Even with the ships, his cash offer would have covered everything she mentioned and millions more. He supposed it had to have been the contract that won the man over then. In the end it mattered little. He was at least glad Taeli had managed to snag the company. And it seemed now he might be able to still get a piece of it for substantially less cost. Win win. When she finally put two and two together, he laughed.

"Indeed I did. Though admittedly I didn't know who I was bidding against. Still, I'm sure you can understand my excitement then when I got a call in regards products from this company. The fact that it was someone I didn't know that had that particular comm channel had me a little worried at first though. Was starting to wonder if I had a security breach somewhere." Releasing her, he chuckled again and headed toward a chair. "Mind if I sit? After all, it seems we have business to discuss...Miss Glaisin." He finished teasingly.

[member="Darth Arcanix"]

"Of course, Mr. [member="Ice"], by all means sit down," Taeli said, smiling at him. She felt glad that she had unsettled him in some way, maybe he would start to open up to her eventually. She still wanted to know some of his secrets, especially about his life. "Now, as of right now this company only creates two products, which I think is an absolutely horrible state of affairs that I plan to change. I approached STI to possibly look into working on projects jointly, allowing STI access to our testing facilities and such while we work together on forming new projects to sell on the open-market."

She was sure he would certainly be amendable to the agreement, but he never did something like this without his own conditions. She wondered just what he would ask for this time, and she was curious if she would need to counter.
