Description: Parts in Yellow are important, and possibly restricted.
The new lightsaber uses a synthetic crystal that he poured his own power into, which corrupted the red into a ashy black color in it's blade, similar to the original Shadow Luster's own color, while also improvising a new hilt design for firm gripping, and dual weilding other melee weapons. Apart from that, it looks like a simple lighstaber, but once the Ligh Absorbing Cells are activated, a shadow field surround the wielder in a absolute darkness. The field only reaches far enough for two combatants to be inside the field, and appears much like the darkside power Waves of Darkness, a fog, or dark cloud, though this is as far as it goes. This causes any lightsaber inside the field to become 'invisible', and also blinds it wielder just as much as the enemy inside the field, but wearing any form of life sensory, UV sensory, the Force, or infraded will negate the blinding, while the UV will allow seeing of the lightsabers inside the field. Romeo called it the Blackheart, and the pouring of his own power into it has no other effect other than the color, and possibly his own force signature inside it, which would only make it easier to identify him through the force.
Note: I figured the field was only as large as two combatants as the original weapon, the Darkstick article says this
Through modern technological advances, weaponsmiths built upon the shadowy image by implanting webs of light-absorbing cells into darksticks. Upon activation, a shroud of blackness descended upon the weapon, its bearer, and anyone else close enough and unfortunate enough to face a Kerestian warrior. The victim was blinded, but the warrior was not; they wore infrared goggles to remain at top efficiency.[3]
