Teaming up with a Mandalorian was going to be interesting for him. Tarw was not against it since he had lived and trained his own Mandalorian aunts, they had been great in training and prepping him for combat that was going to be against Force Users and those that were melee focused and not ranged fighters. It allowed Tarw to start more experienced in combat than many of the others he had trained with in the Galactic Alliance, but it also meant there were lots of expectations for him to do well and represent the very best that the Alliance had to offer. He was still attempting to find his footing for now.

He was also needing to find a new gun. Keen to try using a blaster cannon, he had seen some rotary ones that could be something he could work with but it would take some time.

For now, he had his rifle and pistols to use and the beskad that was his mother's for anyone who attempted to get in close.

Tarw tapped at the console and double checked the coordinates. He was at the right location for meeting the Mandalorian who had agreed to help him, he was curious what they would be like. Perhaps they could provide some tips for weapon fighting and he could learn from them in some way. The rookie was always keen to learn from others and to seek out new ways to fight and improve his fighting skills. He was pretty skilled in most forms of combat due to his training but he was far from masterful in them. Only time would provide him with that level of skill.

He kept an eye on the scanner for any other ships approaching, assuming the Mandalorian would dock with his shuttle and they could discuss the mission and the plans of approach ahead of time. Go over the brief and figure out what was the best approach.

Saram was leaving Davaab on their own while on active duty after a very long time. This job, however, was important. Tracking down some chakaare who were causing problems for the Alliance with an Alliance rammikad didn't seem so bad given that it was basically what they were up to on a good day. "So how come its you leaving to help the Alliance and not one of us, alor?" asked Viraen from across Galaar 1-1's troop bay.

"Benefits of command, vod," she said without missing a beat. "Now you ad'ike remember to be nice while I'm gone. Don't give Ran any trouble," she half joked. The cabin erupted into a disjointed chorus of "elek buir". Saram couldn't help but laugh. "And if I get into any osik we can't handle and the Alliance won't send help don't you di'kute stay too far to help," she added as grabbed her Verpine anti-material rifle off the rack.

"Wouldn't dream of it, vod," said Ran sincerely. "Now don't forget anything, no offense but we're not going to divert because you forgot your lucky Strill." She gave Ran a blank visored glare, the di'kut knew that she had no such thing. Ran burst out laughing and clapped her armor's backplate. She just shook her head, turning and making her way to the cockpit.

"You're lucky you're my 2IC, Ran Netra," she called back as she stepped through the open bulkhead doors. "Rav, please tell me we're close now before these di'kute make me change my mind."

Rav turned around in the seat, not that she couldn't see her enter with her buy'ce affording her full 360 degree field of view. "Alliance shuttle, dead ahead, I just sent the automated docking telemetry request now," said Rav, matter of fact. "You know you're not actually their buir, right?" she asked, snorting in amusement at her own comment.

"Tell that to them," she laughed softly, looking at the shuttle on the sensor screen. Single occupant. That must have been her Alliance rammikad contact. She didn't know anything else about him, but at the very least he could fly. Jate. As the gunship's cockpit fell back into silence, Saram watched as Rav guided the gunship toward the shuttle on a perfect docking course. All that remained now was for the two ships to actually dock.

Rav's expert piloting made the docking almost unnoticeable. "Still got it," she whispered under her breath, mostly to herself. To anyone who didn't know Rav that might've sounded like her showing off, but Saram knew that the fact that she was a mother of three children with two less than two years off from their verd'goten and one only recently having passed his had recently started to make her feel her age.

Saram put a hand on her pauldron, giving Rav a comforting look from behind her buy'ce before she turned and headed for the airlock. As she crouched down beside the airlock, she and Ran exchanged a nod before the airlock's indicator lamp signaled that the connection was stable. She stepped through, shifting to a standing position once she was within the shuttle's gravity influence. If there was one thing she could pass on to either of her ori'vode it'd be to put the airlocks on the sides instead of the ventral facing.

She quickly reached up, pulled her helmet off, and tucked it under her left arm with practiced ease before she hit the cycle switch with her right. Sometimes she forgot that not everyone was used to their first impression of someone being a blank faced t-visored helmet, though that worked in her favor with most of her dealings with aruetii. What did that say about her? Har'chaak, maybe Ran was right, maybe she did need to step out more. Who had the time for that, though? Besides, this counted, didn't it?

The Mandalorian shuttle arrived and there was a request for docking procedure, something that he responded with the docking protocol. It was strange being in command of a ship, he was rarely flying but he spent years learning how to. It was a good skill to have but he was far from a brilliant pilot, he was average at most.

Docking the ships, Tarw grabbed his helmet and locked it into place. He was curious how he would be received by the Mandalorian, he was always unsure how to handle his interactions with them. Having been raised as one but not taking that path and the way of life, he felt that he was distant and out of touch with how they were. Perhaps he sought out missions with Mandalorians as a way to reconnect with that part of himself. To find harmony and perhaps understand the way that he could be Mandalorian and serve as a soldier in the Galactic Alliance.

Opening the docking bay doors, he greeted the Mandalorian, "Tarw Rhyfelwr. Pleasure to meet you. Hope you are doing well." He extended a hand in greeting and nodded his head to the Mandalorian. He was curious to see how they worked in the field and what they would be capable of during the mission.

Saram gave her colleague from the Alliance a quick look over. For the most part, he was very much what she had expected from an Alliance rammikad. High power blaster rifle, a pair of blaster pistols, thermal detonators and...a beskad? For the briefest of moments she wondered if he'd taken it, or if some di'kut lost it to him while gambling. Both were entirely possible given what the dini'la di'kute from the Enclave had been up to before they'd dissolved. Perhaps it was a gift, however, or perhaps, there was more to this Alliance rammikad that she was entirely unaware of. Word had spread around the company about Minerva Fhirdiad, she didn't dismiss the possibility that her Alliance colleague was a fellow Mando'ad out of beskar'gam.

Saram smiled politely and grasped his arm at the elbow as per the traditional Mandalorian hand shake. "Saram Kote," she replied after letting go and returning her arm to her side. She stepped onto the ship, sending the signal for Rav to disconnect and depart via her armor's neural interface. "Pleasure's mine, always nice to work with the Alliance's best. As for how I'm doing, probably the same as you, busy. Seems to be no end to the number of people trying to start something. Then again, that's the job, isn't it?" Seeing his beskad again in her near peripheral vision tempted her to ask about it, but it was discipline and years of professionalism alone that stopped her. She could give a vhe'viin's shebs about aruetii customs and culture, but she'd been a mercenary long enough to know that insulting your client was far from the smartest thing to do.

Tarw coughed and nodded his head, "I wouldn't say that I was Alliance's best. I am still pretty new to the Alliance's army." He confessed, not wishing to pretend that he was one of the more experienced and most capable of the fighters in the Alliance. Otherwise, he would be risking showing the Alliance in poor light if he made a mistake or fumbled during the mission. No, it was much better to show a more honest side to what Tarw was. "Well, war tends to create a lot of work and get a lot of opportunities to make money for mercs."

"Did you have any questions for me?" He figured it would be good to break the ice as he walked to the cockpit and began to tapped in the coordinates for the new location they were heading to. Tarw engaged the hyperdrive and then looked back to Saram. "Shouldn't be a long trip but figured that you wouldn't mind if I got us on the way." He mentioned as he gestured the co-pilot seat for Saram to sit at if she wished. Leaning back in his chair, and relaxing a little as the hyperspace shifted around them, it felt soothing and was a calming sensation for him. He was never sure why it soothed him but it was a space that felt like a calming lull.

"We all start somewhere," she said with a polite smile in response to Tarw mentioning that he was knew to the GADF. "When I was starting out I once had to go right back out of a window I came through. Misjudged how many there were on that floor. So, if you haven't done that, I'm sure you're fine," she said, punctuating her anecdote with a short, soft laugh at her past self's expense. She left out the fact that those on the floor were in fact waiting for her, and that they were former GADF turned mercenaries. Didn't work out quite so well for her attempt at an encouraging anecdote.

Noticing he was heading in the direction of the cockpit, she followed him at a distance, not wanting to seem standoffish. "No, go right ahead," she said in response to his question about whether she minded him getting them on their way. His second question did give her pause for a brief moment as she considered it. She doubted he caught her glancing at the beskad sheathed at his waist. He was likely just trying to make conversation to pass the time, and probably to get to know who he was working with a little better. She saw no reason not to oblige.

Nodding in response to the proffered seat, she crossed the distance and sat down. "Not your first time working with Mandalorians, then?" she asked once she'd settled herself in the chair.
