Many Jedi have gathered to witness the ‘battles’ between the combatants, from Padawans to Knights and Masters, all battling to see who will rise to the top, who will be the cream of the crop?, the icing on the cake?, the best of the best?. It is early morning, the sun has risen to herald a bright new day, avian circle in the Voss sky, the flowers are blooming and the bees are buzzing and there is excitement in the air. And lots of chatter ..
In the arena there is a seat at the end of the room, on which Grand Master [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] will watch over the tournament. With brushed back golden hair, beard trimmed and a set of sapphire blue eyes, and a calming demeanour, the grand master will cast those wondrous eyes upon his Jedi charges and step in if and I say IF, the duelling gets ‘out of hand’.
Before the duelling shall commence, each combatant will acknowledge his presence with a respectful bow and so to, to your competitor, before they begin.

Lightsaber duel?

Anyone watching would have thought that the Nautolan had showed up and showed out for the urban dance competition. House music played from out of a Corellia Digital HoloBoy that was propped up against one side of the arena, streaming music from the cloud that echoed inside the rustic arena that had been prepared for the tournament. Warming up, the small amphibian had quickly gotten into the groove of the music, transitioning between exercises that combined both isolation and rhythm.

Bare feet plied across the floor, shuffling, moonwalking, and sliding as the boy seemed like perpetual motion personified. A cartwheel transitioned into a windmill, as a silvery object went flying up into the air. Catching the curved hilt dueling saber from out of of the air, the youngling changed direction as the lightsaber again went up into the air.

This time he missed the catch, adapting so that he ducked into a sweep to collect the lightsaber that had dropped onto the floor as he repeated the routine to limber the body and prepare for the exercise.

When the announcement was made for the match to begin, the boy's head-tails went flying as he did a pirouette and moonwalked to the center of the arena. Turn, and he pop-and-locked in the motions of the timeless Droid dance style, executing a series of short movements as he gave an eccentric bow toward his Grand Master Heavenshield and then a second toward his opponent.

With a distinctive snap-hiss, Riptide appeared. The pearlescant white blade indictative of the krayt dragon shard that was the heart of the lightsaber. Bringing the white blade up close to his face, the youngling executed a fluid X-shaped cut as he assumed the opening stance of Form II.

The Makashi Salute, as it was known.
