Round Three Jardo versus Sabik!

(Sorry for the delay!)

Round three. Already Ferus was beginning to enjoy this idea, as the other two duels so far have been a blast. Now, however, it was two reletive new comers to the Assassins. [member="Sabik Dhami"] , a mandalorian and a twin. There was little information on him, save for the mentioned before. The other, [member="Jardo Snow"] , another the Zabrak knew little about. What he did know was the boy was brash, and almost got himself killed in an earlier mission.

He was curious how he would do in this setting.

"Begin when ready!"

Smirking lightly, Jardo looked around. Spinning his lightsaber in his hand he stared at his opponent. Jardo didn't know anything about this guy's fighting style, thus he was allowing him to attack first. Well, if it came to it he had a hidden blade he could use.

Turning the power down on his lightsaber, Jardo still kept his eyes on his opponent. This was a spar, not a "I want to kill you" fight. However, Jardo didn't turn his blade down fully, so it would still cut and bruise.

Ouch

"Begin when ready."
Sabik knelt on a single knee, and as he rose he turned to face his opponent. The Sith before him was older by at least a decade, as far as Sabik could determine. He would be more experienced, but he doubted this man had the training of a Mandalorian. He retrieved the hilt of his lightsaber from his belt and gently took it in his left hand. His thumb fiddled with the nozzle as he lowered the power setting. It would incapacitate but not kill.

This was a tournament of the acolytes. In Sabiks mind there was no room for losing. He had to win. He must win. He flicked his lightsaber back, activating the blade and the yellow plasma shot out behind him. He would prove an awkward opponent for Jardo, while the reverse-grip was already a rare sight among those who studied and practiced lightsaber combat, a left-handed individual utilizing a reverse-form made it ever more rare.

Seeing the hesitation in attack from Jardo, Sabik took his opportunity. He approached him steadily, and chose not to charge with reckless abandon. He was not an arms length away from Jardo when he moved with a flurry. Enhanced by the Force, he attacked with such speed that his movements became a blur. He brought his left arm around, as though to deliver a sweeping strike, but rather he whipped the blade forward with the movement of throwing a punch. The would-be horizontal slash became a left-to-right diagonal offensive, attempting to strike Jardo from shoulder to hip.

First off, he had a right to be surprised. A man using a reverse grip in his off hand. He was sort of busy forming a plan, to busy to notice the lightsaber flying towards him. He only narrowly had time to block.

He pushed Sabik away, looking around before taking up a Krayt's Claw position. Krayt's Claw, the natural hold of Djem So, the first of the two lightsaber forms Jardo was going to use in this fight.

He then took it upon himself to bring his blade across his body, aiming low buy feinting and going high. If this connected it would cut Sabik from left shoulder to right shoulder. If this didn't connect, well Jardo would have to think up a second plan.

When the blades connected, plasma hissed. Sabik took a step back and spun. He flicked his wrist, the hilt of the lightsaber flung into a reverse grip once more. As he turned to face his opponent he was recovering himself from the unexpected attack. He was taking up a Djem So position.

Sabik could feel the air shimmer as the boiling plasma changed direction. It feigned low and went high, he didn't have time to whip his lightsaber around to block. His right hand shot out, cosmic energies collected in his palm and sent a torrent of kinetic at Jardo's wrist.

The intent of the kinetic energy, or rather better known as a Force Push, was an attempt to force Jardo's own blade against his face. A rare technique known as Sarlaac's Face. Sabik's back arched, knees bent into a low crouch. He moved under the swipe of the blade, and initiated Vipers Tongue, he twisted his hips and thrust his blade in its reverse-grip for Jardo's abdomen.

Well, it happened quickly let's put it that way. He felt his blade moving towards him, then he felt it drop. He blinked, watching as Sabik moved towards him. Without time to react he did what he did best, force lightning.

Watching as the lightning bounced from his fingertips he brought both hands up, the current flying right towards the abdomen of Sabik. The intention of the lightning? Stun Sabik long enough for Jardo to run forward and slash across the face of Sabik.

Simple enough, right?
