Private Routine Inspection

There were a lot of things that he was finding frustrating nowadays. He enjoyed being in the Order but, at the same time, was frustrated by the fact that he was being babysat. He'd gone on one mission already and was being sent out on another one with a kriffing chaperone. To some extent he enjoyed ma... Adeline visiting him in his dreams, but his body constantly rebelled. The Force that flowed in him disliked it and it reaked hell on his body, sometimes. He was frustrated by a lot of things. But he'd pushed that aside, for the time being, to focus on the mission, as he'd been taught.

He looked to his right at Knight Austra Corthello; the knight was in his early fifties, yet still as spry as ever and could move in a way that Raphael found as fascinating as it was awe-inspiring. Yet he was losing focus again.

"I understand that you're not that thrilled to be accompanying me," Knight Corthello began, as he eased the ship forward. "But, I'm hoping that by the time we've finished, you'll enjoy this a bit more." The man smiled at him.

He dipped his head in the slightest bit of shame. "I apologize, Knight Corthello. I didn't mean any offense it's just--"

"You're frustrated because you don't feel like the Order trusts you, and that frustrates you with yourself because you already know why they don't." He nodded, silently. Corthello had summed up his thoughts in a single sentence. "And you're frustrated that I understand you so well." The knight chuckled. "Don't worry about it, Raphael. I can understand your frustration. I've not...been in your situation before, but I can understand how it feels to not be trusted and I know how that can make one feel..." Finally the ship dropped out of hyperspace and Corthello turned on the autopilot as they just drifted for a bit.

"We're en-route to investigate a planet on the outer rim." He gestured to the planet that seemed to partially loom in front of them. "There's a settlement here, that people have been going missing on, whenever they land. If they're not from here, it's quite often that they just...vanish."

"Which is where we come in, to see what's going on." Raphael smiled to Corthello and the knight nodded, smiling back.

"Very good. I do not know what we will find here, but if there is a sith then I want you to avoid them and leave it to me." Raphael nodded as the ship came to a landing at the starport. "I do not want you fighting any sith."

"I understand, sir. I will not." And with that they disembarked, Raphael still with his saber and his mag pistol, just now in jedi robes. It felt...so strange and yet so right. He wondered how things would go. And why he was feeling...so uneasy, in this place.
