While the Inari Shogunate maintains an isolationist and non-interventionist foreign policy, its maintains allows for government regulated, but relatively open, exports and imports. It is open to establishing free-trade agreement with neutral, pacifist states that are not involved with in the overall anarchy of the warring states of the Age of Chaos, other than those pertaining to the defense of one's country and maintaining their sovereignty.

One important note about the Inari Shogunate is its unique currency. Foreign organizations interested in trading with the Inari Shogunate must utilize this currency or instead, rely on trading alone. The Galactic Credit Standard is NOT accepted in the Inari Shogunate as an acceptable means of currency and the Credit is worthless in the Inari Shogunate. Due to constant inflation and deflation of the economy due to the fluxating galactic economy, the Inari Shogunate's currency is comprised of various metals, ensuring that it possesses worth regardless of the economic status of the Inari Shogunate.

The currency of the Inari Shogunate is as follows:

• The Ryo - a 110 gram spherical orb, comprised a 100 g core of 100.00% pure platinum and a bronzium shell.
• The Bu - a 110 gram spherical orb, comprised of a 100 g core of 100.00% pure aurodium and a bronzium shell.

  The Shu - a 110 gram spherical orb, comprised of a 100 g core of 100.00% pure silver and a bronzium shell.

  The Mon - a 5 gram flat, minted coin with a diagonal square hole in the center, comprised of 5 grams of 100.00% bronzium.
  

The current official exchange rate is:

• 1 Ryo is valued 4 Bu, 16 Shu, or 4000 Mon.
• 1 Bu is valued 4 Shu or 1000 Mon
• 1 Shu is valued 250 Mon
• 1 Mon is the most basic form of currency.

The exact worth of each currency in the Galactic Credit Standard is based on the metallic compositions of each currency is as follows:

• 1 Ryo is valued at 20,010 credits
• 1 Bu is valued at 5,010 credits
• 1 Shu is valued at 1,260 credits
• 1 Mon is valued at 5 credits

It should be worth noting that as Galactic Credits cannot be directly converted into the currency of the Inari Shogunate, the exchange rate of each currency into Galactic Credits is often significantly higher, sometimes being exchanged at a rate over 1000% of the its "credit" value.
