The Royal Intelligence Agency(R.I.A.) is a special foreign and domestic intelligence agency of the Dual Monarchy of Panatha & Thule tasked with the gathering, processing, and analyzing of galactic security information especially the analyzing of threats from across the galaxy.

The R.I.A. has its roots set in the Intelligence Agency of the One Sith and specifically in the Sith Lord & Crown Prince Braxus Zambrano. For many years he successfully managed and grew a massive network of spies, agents, informants, and corrupt officials from across the galaxy to draw a constant flow of intelligence into the Pacanth Reach.

This intelligence network went through a period of immense overhaul following the One Sith Civil War, and the establishing of the Dark Council. Darth Prazutis was appointed one of these Councilors and led the Sphere of Sith Intelligence. It was then that the intelligence network nearly blew up overnight following the virtually unlimited resources that now flowed to build up his agency.

For many years they served as the intelligence of the One Sith. However this all changed when the One Sith Empire ended up on its last legs before the crippling blows were struck. The councilors Darth Prazutis and his mentor [member="Darth Carnifex"] saw the ship sinking and realized the truth behind lies of the One Sith.

Immediately a complex operation known only as Theta Protocol was initiated a highly secret operation whose goals and intentions were so shrouded even to its own members that involved the relocation of all assets, resources, and information databanks to the Pacanth Reach and Panatha specifically.
This operation was a daring undertaking but thankfully turned out to be a huge success. It was on that day that the Sith Intelligence died and the Royal Intelligence Agency was born.
