Roycephus Richardson
-
Born on Corellia, Roycephus grew up rich thanks to his father, a prominent senator in The Galactic Alliance. However when his father lost reelection, those that had funded him came knocking. They demanded that he return their donations....an impossible task. When he refused, the house was raided, and Roy's parents were killed. Roy had to survive on the streets for over a year before he was able to get a sustainable income. Even then, nothing was concrete, financial issues on Corellia were never far, yet they were always unexpected, and multiple times Roy found himself being cut for financial reasons.
The young man finally made a decision. He left Corellia, and found a new home on Naboo. The planet had its' own issues, but The Confederacy provided much more stability. Roy was able to save up a decent amount of credits, and decided to join the world of politics. He worked as an aide to multiple politicians, including a viceroy. He hated the viceroy, seeing in him a richer version of the factory managers on Corellia...greedy, lustful for power, and abusive.
However nothing came of this hatred, because the Confederacy collapsed.
But this was not the end.
Several groups tried to pick up the pieces in some way or another. The Ascendency, The Federation, The Elysium Empire, each seemed to have the people in mind as they began building their nations. The Galactic Alliance and Eternal Empire were also involved, but Roy had made his choice. He would join The Federation, and rebuild The CIS, bigger and better than before.
He quickly moved to their territory, and made himself known to the people, taking a populist, socialist stance, he promised to make sure funds went to the people, not the viceroys and their corporations. Of course, he knew Socialism couldn't work in the long run, but he would need to use it to keep himself in a position where he could truly help the people.
