Description: The Magister is a fully armed gunship designed particularly to pose a threat to capital ship emplacements, though it would turn out to be highly effective against armored targets such as tanks and walkers. The bronzium-plated alusteel hull was designed to keep weight low without sacrificing blaster protection, while the titanium-desh alloy chassis is both lightweight an incredibly durable. Seating configuration is two rows of two seats, the front for pilots and the rear for tracker/gunners. A slot just behind and above the cockpit allows an astromech to dock itself, which includes airlocked access via the rear of the cockpit. Directly behind the cockpit, connected to the tiny cargo bay, is a cramped room with a double bunk on both sides; there is a small self-purging stall for organic waste disposal included... sadly, there's no privacy. The primary weapon of the Magister is a patented fire-linked quad autocannon which fires a small range of different 43x304mm munitions including Ri'ess Regal's own Umbra I-AT H.E.A.T. round which can punch through several inches of solid armor with successive use. This weapon system, dubbed the Rosebush, is mounted half-way into the nose on a 120 degree mechanical swivel which can be operated by either the docked astromech inefficiently or by one of the trackers remotely. The pilot wields the master arm for the weapon, however, and can fire it in a fixed position without the need for a controller of the weapon. A second tracker helps operate the missile systems included in the bay and racks of the gunship, leaving the pilot free to fly and use the fixed-wing pulse guns. The broad array of missiles include the common concussion missile, ionic Intruder missiles and Ri'ess Regal's high-trajectory air-burst missile. A battle droid brain controls the Foxtrot autoturret mounted to the top-rear of the craft's fuselage for self-defense against fighters. In the lower tail section are also stored two proton bombs for whenever that bunker or heavy tank needs an extra beating. Like most specialized and unique starcraft, the Magister gunship comes mounted with one complete PSIS-M system fixed to the wings, which is completely optional and removable. A custom-made Class-III droid brain allows easy interfacing with the ship's standard systems and understands most common languages and dialects, including Mnenchalus, Alat Rufer and Narran Ephicat.
