Intent: It is finally time RRDI developed its own vehicle-based weapon system (Hyperlance notwithstanding), as most of its previous developments were done with canon weapons purchased from galactic manufacturers. The Foxtrot is designed to replicate the merits and flaws of rotary "slugthrowers" of real-life fighter equivalents. Submission made because the Z6E and Z24 man-carried rotary blaster cannons are no longer being accepted as single-count weapons for my future fighter submissions. This weapon looks at first glance to be extra powerful because of its high rate of fire, but this is not true as many of those rounds are guaranteed to miss due to speed and range; however, this ratio has been more closened with this submission.

Description: The MMSW-10 Vulcan is a three-barrel high-powered rotary blaster cannon originally intended to be fit into starfighters and phalanx systems, though versatile and standalone enough to be installed into a multitude of different vehicle types. It takes after the solid slugthrower cannons of old, replacing incendiary head slugs with heavy energy bolts. There is not much to the Foxtrot. It functions in the same way an infantry-based rotary blaster cannon does. Speed has been reduced in turn for capacity and strength, but the entire weapon system is much larger than the man-portable rotary blaster cannon predecessors that have been used in the Ventus interceptor and Deathbell elite fighter, improving on range and versatility. The result was a gun that did not spew out a stream of rounds in close range for strict air-to-air combat but a one that could strike with the overall power of a light cannon and had the effective range to be effective against ground installations and capital turrets as well; something highly impractical before. Hits harder than a man-portable heavy blaster rifle, but softer than a linear laser cannon, using rate to meet the difference.
