STRENGTHS
- Bar Fighter
- Equipped with 48 light laser cannon barrels in total, the RSG-17 does very well against large numbers of ships. A single RSG can take out swarms of lesser fighters on its own due to its ability to engage multiple targets simultaneously
- Top Speed
- While fairly maneuverable in combat situations, the RSG-17 has a low top-speed due to lower quality engines. This gunship doesn't really have any means to chase down targets.
- Missile Magnet
- Large size, low top speed, and high threat make these gunships priority targets for missiles. This issue is only made worse through the fact that these ships have limited missile defenses through their countermeasures, as the RSG-17 possesses no point defense weapons
Bristling with cannons, the RSG-17 Gunship deploys in decently sized squadrons for its power and dog fighting ability. While it is lacking in top speed, the ship's good agility and near 360 degree firing arc, the RSG-17 is able to keep up with almost any ship in a fight. Furthermore, it can use twin turbolasers to pressure ships larger than starfighters and perform ground attacks against heavy targets.
