Like the Super Tactical Droids of antiquity, the RST-series is designed to be an advanced tactical droid able to rapidly increase the success and strategy of units under its control. Produced by Roble Manufacturing, the model is optimized for mass production in order for clients to be able to purchase as many or as few droids needed at any given time, allowing the production of the model to flow between the spikes and valleys of war-time and peace-time supply & demand. But do not let its mass-production diminish its reputation of advancement, because it is anything but a cheap-quality model.
In fact, the RST-series is perhaps one of the smartest droids to be produced yet by Roble Manufacturing, especially when it comes to its specialized role: tactical control and command. Beyond its core droid mind which handles most of the basic functions of the super tactical droid, the RST-series features a number of droid brain add-ons; heuristic learning processors coupled with quantum random-access memory databanks that allow it to learn from any experience that the droid has witnessed or that has been uploaded; a tactical command network that coupled with the various data uplinks, message transceivers, and amplified fire circuits, allow for more cohesion between the RST-series and automated units under its control than ever before; Advanced linguistics computational programs and learning algorithms; time dilation algorithms that allow the droid to speed up its processing power to such an unprecedented degree that it appears as if time has literally slowed, albeit if only temporarily.
In addition to the base add-ons, the RST-series also includes a large array of programs collectively termed as 'Tactical Mind Protocols.' This includes advanced strategic warfare, coordination and processing protocols; databases of known enemies, formations, warfare history, and tactics; databases of geographical information of various worlds and celestial bodies as well as telemetries of star systems; 'commander' protocols and data uplinks, both virtual and physical, allowing the RST-series to take control of automated military assets directly or indirectly; combat database retrieval system and remote-controlled combat processors; weather & environment accountability procedures. These Tactical Mind Protocols are at the core of what makes the RST-series such an advanced and successful super tactical command droid. It also allows the RST-series to be better able at processing and adapting to sudden changes and unexpected complications, as well as having more base variables in their calculations.
The RST-series, of course, is more than just an advanced artificial intelligence unit, but a biped droid with multiple functions that come along with being in that plane of existence. Its chassis houses a gyroscopic stabilizing core, a servomotor central processor -- controlling sub-processors and servomotors throughout the droid -- and electromagnet joint locks, all of which are supported by a heavy-duty supsenions system and contributes to the function and mobility of the droid. For defensive and stabilizing technology, the RST-series includes demagnetizing polarity sinks, anti-rad shielding, rust inhibitions systems, internal fire suppression systems, an internal fire suppression system with damage management procedures. The droid is powered by an internal fusion power core that has rechargeable battery units, and is enhanced by a Sybarium crystal. Finally in the droid's torso is located the Tyr tactical command network module, too spacious to be housed in the droid's 'head.' It's upper appendages, with mechanized three-digit hands, include a scomp-link and security domination interface, allowing it to physically interface with computer systems, while its lower appendanges include magno-lock soles for low-gravity or zero-gravity environments.
The droid has several countermeasure modules designed to prevent tamperement, sabotage, or recovery of the droid by enemy forces. This includes a neural pacifier, located in the droid's cognitave module, and electrical filaments which are both located in the torso of the droid, as well as both of its upper appendages, or limbs. This also doesn't include the fact that while the droid does not have advanced modules to allow for the use of a variety of weapons in frontlines combat scenarios, it has enough programming to allow it to wield weapons such as blasters adequately in defense or when needs be. However it must be stressed that the droid is not meant for combat itself, and is instead designed to be a command unit. This results in the droid having slightly worse defensive plating against conventional blaster and kinetic weaponry when compared to other mass-produced droids made by Roble Manufacturing; however, with a cortosis weave in its plating, the droid is actually better protected against special weapons such as lightsabers. The reasoning for this inclusion of cortosis was that as a commanding unit, the RST-series would be likely a prioritized target for force-using, lightsaber-wielding enemies, and the cortosis-weave in the plating would be enough to hopefully startle an opponent and leave them vulnerable to the forces under the droid's command.
Altogether? The RST-series Super Tactical Droid is a next-generation command droid that will be an invaluable asset for any client on the battlefield. Able to efficiently lead units from divisions to armies system-wide, the advent of the RST-series beckons a new era of advanced droid warfare.
