Ruby was born to a pair of merchants on the ice world of Hoth. At the young age of five, a bounty hunter
killed her parents, wanted by the huts for going back on a deal with them. The bounty hunter took mercy on the young girl and took her back to a small base in the Ison Range. The bounty hunter's name, she soon learned, was Nave Ordo, who took taught her in the way of the bounty hunter, unknown that he had killed her parents. His specialized on teaching her how to repair and build weapons so that she could always maintain her gear, along with stealth and a high speed, high momentum based style of fighting. As a result, she became an avid tinkerer of sorts, always trying to customize and upgrade weapons or thinking of alternate ship designs. Most of the ideas were flunks and unfortunately she had no ship at the time to try anything bigger on.
When she was nine, the bounty hunter returned to the base, a Grey Jedi whom he had failed to kill, hot on his heels and was cut down. The Jedi, by the name of Marik Rayne, noticed she was force sensitive and took her under him as a padewan. She never trusted the Jedi, as he had cut down the man she had considered a father for the last three years and at the first chance she got, betrayed him when a Sith lord by the name of Darth Dromotok attacked him. Assisting the Sith and escaping on his ship when backup arrived for Marik. Dromotok took her under him as an acolyte, teaching her the dark side over the next year and a half. He trained her in the use of a light whip favoring her aggressive fighting style to be used in conjunction with a saber for defensive purposes.
While she was on a mission on Tatooine to assassinate a smuggler who betrayed Dromotok, her old master caught up to her, driven by his duty to turn his padewan back from the dark side or kill her in the process, he used a temporary force sever on Ruby, capturing her and bringing her back. Realizing she would never trust him, he passed her off to another Master by the name of Sebet Modi, who she studied and learned from, brought back from the path of darkness. He helped her along the path of the Jensaaria teaching and mentoring her as she grew until she reached the rank of Defender. As part of her trials, she hunted down the Sith who had turned her and defeated him on the ice world of Sullust. Using her familiarity with the terrain having grown up on a similar world in Hoth and her highly developed Cryokinesis, her and her master gained the upper hand and struck him down, thus earning herself the title of Defender.
Weapons
Winter's Fury: Large Lightaxe that she utilizes by combining saber flurry plus momentum to perform high impact hits against enemies. It has multiple saber crystals in the blade, making a short, but highly focused blade made up of multiple short saber blades, forming the illusion of one solid curved blade. She designed the weapon while on downtime on Hoth while in the small base left deserted by the passing of Nave Ordo(bounty hunter from backstory). When not in use, the sabers deactivate and it collapses into a shield worn on her left arm or back. The shield and haft of the weapon are made of Beskar to be blaster and saber resistant.

A curved red saber from when she fell to the dark side, she uses it to this day as a reminder of what she had become and to keep on her path.
A lightwhip gained as part of her trials on Susevi, instructed on its construction by her master Sebet Modi.

The Dark Crescent is a modified YT 1300, turned from its usual freighter configuration to be slightly more militarized due to necessities in the types of missions she performs, sacrificing cargo space for larger energy cells for an ion cannon turret. (more details available about ship upon request)
