Ruler of the World

Easy. Find an enemy on a planet and take a stance of "I will kill as many people as I have to as long as you are one of them".

By the time you kill them, the planets pretty much yours. Works everytime.

Do not actually try this.

This is not a reference to DBZA

I was the first born son of exiled nobles from Panatha who could trace their lineage back to a short line of Epicanthix monarchs that ruled several centuries ago. Upon that ground I challenged the Panathan King to mortal kombat during the siege of the palace which he ruled from, and after I killed him I was crowned the King of Panatha by the ancient laws of my people. Seeking to further expand the glories of my Kingdom I annexed each of the scattered Epicanthix dominions in the Pacanth Reach and unified them into a centralized government with me, again, as it's undisputed ruler.

I then crowned myself Emperor of the Panathan Empire.

So lately I've been noticing that several people have become the individual leaders of worlds.
I was curious as to how one actually went about such a feat?
I did a storyline leading up to taking control of the Krath (whom essentially ran Empress Teta) and then moved in to take over the planet itself.

Factions control canon planets, then a person of that faction rises to power over the world

Find a world that isn't a canon monarchy and make it a monarchy. Keep in mind the whispers from others who think this is a cop out... <_<

Or you know there is no shame from being an over weight loser who just so happens to be a pretty good navy pilot. :)

So, for currently neutral planets it is basically just free-game to move in and conquer them to rule then?
Obviously major factions could still come in and take it from you, but you'd exert at least some control over the world for a while right?

If i'm getting this wrong please let me know :)

Snapping and winning seems like it loses quite a lot of the fun.
Nothing like actually conquering a real canon planet either, it sort of amplifies the experience in my opinion.

Then again, I wouldn't know too much about the subject. I assume it's better simply because it provides more RP and in the end that's sort of what we all come here for [I think]

Doesn't really matter if it is neutral or not, it generally depends on the planet. If you have a place you're looking at going after, check to make sure nobody else (such as a company) owns/runs the planet, and if someone does run it, like a faction, major or not, then double check with them. Empress Teta is in Sith Space, and technically I could have claimed it as an appointed Sith lord to govern it or what have you, but I instead chose a rather long-ish route of becoming their sovereign queen, or Empress as my title suggests.
