Hey, hey, ya' beautiful bastards, nice to see the lot of you once more. It's been God knows how long since I've been around. I want to say, like . . . 5 years? Something like that. Time flies by like a bastard sometimes. This place popped up into mind a few weeks ago while I was down the nostalgia gravy train for some reason or another and I'm not gonna lie, the itch to jump back in and give it a proper try now that I'm a bit older, have my head screwed on right, give less of an overall fuck, and overcame my massive anxiety when it came to writing and invisible popularity contests has been incredibly strong. The last thing I remember being around for, several months before I dipped, was either the whole Rapture event, Tefka stepping down, or some competitive site popping up and getting shilled here and there on the boards. Honestly, no idea which, it's been that long. But I still remember being all sparkly-eyed like a kid over all the cool shit that got introduced in time like Dominion battles, the One Sith rampaging around the galaxy, and one of the head honchos of the OS starting up a PVP/Arena-Combat faction for one on ones and whatnot

So ye', quite a while 'innit? I'll rely on the lot of ya' to help me figure out my footing once more whenever ya' can and get the train rolling once more. Thanks in advance!

Also since I do remember it being part of the rules and all regarding multiple writer accounts, I unfortunately lost my old emails and credentials and I do apologize for breaking the rule over this stuff. I can try and dig up stuff from memory to find old characters/account and have the whole thing terminated if need be (and boy will I be cringing like a bastard over it, God help me)

Why hello there! I just joined a year ago, but welcome back.

Site staff could probably help on the account side of things if any sorting is needed. Lots of opportunities for characters, of course. Even more cool features and mechanics added, though I can't really give a break down of the delta being so recent myself. Great BBCode options now. Will toss in some New Member details that might be handy given some important IC events probably happened in the past five years too.

Discord or Forum, lots of people will be happy to help answer questions or offer story opportunities.

Timeline
  • Key Event: 424 ABY Various Organizations and the Vong come together to rebuild every world that was destroyed (example: Alderaan).
  • Key Event: 428 ABY Gulag Plague spreads throughout the galaxy killing...well, a lot.
  • Key Event: 835 ABY Almost all remaining sentient life is immune to the Gulag Plague, the galaxy begins on the road to recovery.
  • Current Year: somewhere around 860 ABY (time's a bit fluid)

Guess we'll see if any spring cleaning is needed to get everything up n' proper set up. And God bless whoever implemented more BBCode options after I left cause Lord almighty would I have made people gouge their eyes out if all the stuff available now was available back in the day with how much I remember spamming italics and colored text like a damn bastard. The Gulag plague is definitely giving me a giggle as well, all things considered. If it came out before everything went to hell outside, I'll be ribbing the creator of it over being a Prophet like a gremlin. That said, timeline being about three decades after the plague definitely makes character creation a lot easier due to scope limitation and creating a pivotal moment to center stories around, cheers mate! I'll give the factions a looksie and see what draws my eye. I do faintly remember the last character I had being edgy as all hell, Painter/Force User creating stuff inspired by Beksiński and while I still love the concept of it and the mental image I had, definitely going to be aiming for more lighthearted and comedic leaning stuff. Or at least, that's the first thing to pop to mind, guess we'll see what ends up striking me!

Fethin' bless ya' mate, this is the one. I remember Feth and Chit being the ones I used the most since they were the most phonetically pleasing to my ears.

The rest of ya', thank you kindly! Still gotta go through the factions properly, spent this weekend resetting my sleep schedule by mistake so didn't have much time for it or figuring out a character archetype to play out, but I'd lie if I said something akin to a radio voice doesn't sound appealing right now. Probably force mumbo-jumbo, some form of, what was it, Battle Command, or something like that? Just more soothing rather than inspiring, civil servant type of deal. Gonna have to boot up the old Wookiepedia and look through it.
