It was late at night at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, not many people were about nor could a voice be heard. Although, within the large gym area of the temple a loud punch noise could be heard, one that echoed through the silent halls and beyond. The person making the racket was Silas, who had just come off a long trip from Azbrian rebuilding a Jedi temple as well as his home. At that time he wasn't really able to effectively train effectively, so now was the time to catch up and get back into full strength before any trouble started somewhere in the galaxy.

Clad in a pair of black shorts and a short sleeved shirt, he slammed his taped fists against the heavy punching bag with powerful strikes. The punching back was a standard when it came to ironing over hand to hand combat, not only that but it also helped increase your endurance and strength in your arms. In all honesty, Silas missed the gym while he was away, it was a place where he could wind down and not think about Jedi duties for a while. You couldn't always be in warrior mode every day of the week, there needed to be days where your mind could unravel.

Even the most powerful Jedi did that.

After a while, Silas stepped away from the bag and walked over to his water to have a quick sip. He was surprised no one else was there, considering a decent amount of Jedi did their exercise in the middle of the night. Who knew though, the night was still young yet. Quickly wiping his sweaty face with a towel, he folded it back up and got into the ring where he calmly shadow boxed himself.

That was the problem, having a partner was always far better than pretending to hit the invisible man.

Loomi was finally recouped after her injury on Elom. Unfortunately, she had softened up a bit following her stent in the Halls of Healing. Her legs would be fine. They were mechanical after all. It was her arms that she was worried about. They hadn’t exactly provided her a method of keeping them awake, so now they were sore and tired from a week of no real use.

The Godoan was no boxer, but she knew a few reps that Jedi were generally taught to keep in shape. They had training rooms with bags, which she had gone back and forth in her mind on if she wanted to use them or not. She finally mustered her courage up enough to head off and find a late night training room, since she was still having bouts of nightmares that were keeping her from sleeping. Rather than finding an empty room, however, Loomi entered to a bizarre sight. A man was in there, punching at… nothing.

Loomi’s singular eye fixed on the punching bag in the corner, a frown coming to her face. Why was he punching nothing? The bag was right there.

“E-excuse me,” Loomi called out, though not very loud. She was at least curious enough to engage in conversation. “Why are you punching the air?”

“E-excuse me,”
Silas slowly stopped punching and looked back to the source of the voice, his eyes glaring at the individual in question. The knight had seen the padawan about in the temple before, but they both had never spoken to each other up until now. Giving her a brief nod, he smiled slightly at the question "I'm punching the air because I'm imagining a person in front of me. It's better than nothing when you don't have a partner" Silas remarked before walking over to her.

"I see you've come in for a bit of training yourself right?" he asked curiously with a hand out to shake "The names Silas, Silas Westgard. I believe I've seen you about the temple a number of times along with the other padawans" Silas continued as he looked the girl in the eye "How has your training been going so far? have you been keeping up alright?"

"O-oh," Loomi frowned. "I... guess that makes sense?"

Did he just not want to set up a training droid? This was all very confusing.

"The names Silas, Silas Westgard. I believe I've seen you about the temple a number of times along with the other padawans" Silas continued as he looked the girl in the eye "How has your training been going so far? have you been keeping up alright?"

Loomi's face flushed a bright shade of pink. Of course he had seen her. She stood out like a sore thumb. She couldn't exactly blend into a crowd with a pair of loud mechanical legs and an ugly scar on her face.

"Loomi, sir," the Godoan began, giving her name. "I... h-haven't really kept up with my training lately. An injury cooped me up in the Halls of Healing."

It still was sore a little. Loomi could still vividly see the claw of the sithspawn wedged into her gut, blood rushing out around it. She didn't remember much after that, or at least much that wasn't in her head. She had been asleep for at least a day according to the healers that treated her wound.

"I-I want to get back into it though," she added, "especially if there's a surprise physical assessment coming up."

The last thing she needed was to embarrass herself even further in front of her peers on a basic obstacle course.

"Loomi, sir,"
Manners, that's a great start. Very few people had that nowadays, but he was glad people still lived by those set of rules. Silas nodded slowly soon afterward from the fact she was coming off an injury, something which required patience and hard work to come back from no matter how small "Hm, I've been in your shoes before. It took me a while to get back into the swing of things" Silas explained, remembering the bloody battle of Tython where he almost was only a mere padawan.

If he hadn't earned the respect of his opponent, he probably would have died that day.

"It depends on what your injury was in all honesty. Whatever was affected you'll need to work on most" he remarked, extending his arm out to show her briefly "If it was your arm you'll need to regain the strength you've lost. The same can be said for your midsection or any part of your body" the knight continued as he leaned down to take a sip of his water.

"Physical assessments normally involve obstacle courses or mock opponents, you never want to go into both without being in the best shape you can be"

Oh. That made sense. Unfortunately there wasn't really a clear place to start. She had been busted up and bruised pretty bad. The puncture wound to her gut was really only the beginning of her injuries.

"So... what do I do if I hurt all of me?" she asked.

He'd probably not be surprised by this question. She was covered in ugly scars after all. It was quite obvious how prone to harm Loomi was.

"So... what do I do if I hurt all of me?"
"You rebuilt yourself..." he said back to her as he walked towards the ropes "It's not simple by any means, but anyone who is a Jedi will have the mentality to achieve anything. You are not an exception" Silas knew Loomi could get over this obstacle like all the others that had been put towards her. All she had to do was keep a level head and not put herself down because having a fresh and healthy mind was far more powerful than a healthy body.

"I had to do the same when I first joined the order. Compared to yours, it was my mentality that was scarred rather than my body. Trust me, that's way harder to rebuild than you think"

Silas leaned up against the ropes with his arms and gazed over at Loomi with a warm yet stern expression "What's on your mind Loomi? am I right in saying you're concerned about failing the upcoming tests because of your current condition?"

"Y-yeah..." Loomi sighed, hanging her head a little. "I-I was never that good at any of that stuff in the first place..."

It was the tripping mostly. Her legs were wrong. She always felt like she was the wrong proportion at any given moment, one step away from planting her nose into the ground again. Loomi was working on getting better about all that clumsiness, but her stay in the medical wing doing nothing all day hadn't really helped her situation much at all.

But this guy looked strong, or at least she though he did. Maybe he'd have advice.

"What do you do?" she asked. "Y'know, to get back in shape."

"Never doubt yourself Loomi, you're here for a reason," he said with a brief smile before stepping out of the ring and heading back to the bag. Calmly, he'd lightly hit the bag and listened closely to the padawan "What I would do is start with the thing that is weakest. So for example, I fixed my mentality before I moved on to developing my body a bit more."

Stopping for a short moment, he looked to Loomi "From the looks of things it appears yours may be physical rather than psychological. Tell me, what are you having trouble with right now? I may be able to give you something to help with that. "
