PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Ryder is a tall young man with Cole black hair and light blue eyes. He has a small studded beard and freckles. He likes to wear white robes that are contrasted by his black boots and belt. Occasionally and especially when traveling, Ryder likes to pair his regular clothing with a traditional Jedi long hooded overcoat colored black.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Ryder is a kind yet assertive young man. He always tries to look at a situation from multiple sides in order to decide the best outcome. While friendly with new faces, he rarely drops his guard always making sure he is safe. Once someone becomes his friend, Ryder will always try to be at their side, something that can be considered overprotective by some. This is something he developed in recent years in order to avoid being alone like he used to when he lived in the lower levels of Coruscant. He loves a challenge, especially a logic based one and is only now starting to open to the force. If pushed too far, he can become snappy or harsh, something that he usually regrets afterwards.

HISTORY
Ryder never met his parents and can not remember a thing about them. He made sure to not waste any time and effort to look for them growing up and in turn he slowly stopped caring at all. He grew up in the lower levels of Coruscant in awful conditions but he made the best out of it. He was a fast learner and that was what allowed him to survive. Thankfully he was part of a community of lost children like him. That's where he met his roommate Ricardo. They both lived in an orphanage that had a few strict rules. Up to the age of 13 the orphanage provided for the kids, but after that they would have to prove their worth with labor.
When Ryder reached the age of 13 he was hired at a local bar as the barkeeper's right hand or more like only hand. At the age of 14, he was unfortunately entangled in a fight while working at the bar. He was responsible for making sure clients got their drinks and made a mistake in the wrong kind of order. He was blamed for it and threatened by the client. Thankfully a Master Jedi was there. He protected him and took interest in his nerve to defend himself. Soon after he learned that the boy was force sensitive and while the boy was a little old to become a youngling, the Jedi decided it was best to help the kid out of his situation and aid him to become a Jedi.
Ryder was then recruited by the Jedi and trained as a youngling and later as the Padawan of the Jedi that found him, Sha'ak Otto until he was called into action in a dangerous mission that the Council deemed too dangerous for Ryder forcing Sha'ak Otto to go without him, only with a few Jedi Knights by his side. It has been a year since then and Sha'ak otto is MIA with Ryder looking for a new Master to train him as their Padawan. The possible loss of Sha'ak Otto has led Ryder into dark thoughts. Perhaps he should have pressured the Council to allow him to follow his master and perhaps he was in part to blame for him going missing. People are slowly starting to believe he is dead, but Ryder will never let the hope die. Their last mission together was on Illum, when Ryder got his orange kyber crystal and the last time they spoke was in front of the council, so he never really got the time to say goodbye. It should also be noted that Ryder used the Jedi Temple's knowledge base to look for surviving members of his family. That's how he learned about his seemingly only recorded relative, his sister Jana. Her location is unknown at the moment.
