STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+ Bard: Through both natural charisma and extensive training, Ryn can be a charming man in every sense of the word. He is also an accomplished storyteller, poet and musician.
+ Rogue: Through both natural dexterity and extensive training, Ryn is exceedingly good at not being seen if he doesn't want to be. He is also an accomplished lockpick, pick pocket, second story man and at various other rogue-esque skills.
- Ego: Throughout Ryn's training, he has excelled at what he does. This has caused a bit of an ego where his skills are concerned.
- Tragic Past: All of Ryn's family is gone, and while Ryn doesn't like to focus on his past, the violent nature of his childhood and experiences since have certainly left their mark on him.
APPEARANCE:
Ryn is slightly above average in height, with a good frame and lithe musculature. He has fair skin which has few blemishes and a smattering of freckles when he goes out in the sun to much. He has brown hair that he keeps cut short, ocean blue eyes that can pierce through a person into their soul. He has two typical outfits, when he is not trying to skulk or engage in skulduggery, he wears a typical spacer outfit of dark fabric pants, light colored shirt tucked in, a vest that matches the pants over the shirt and a sturdy pair of boots. When he is on the path of the rogue, he is often clothed in a lightly armored, dark colored outfit designed to blend into shadows. The suit consists of boots, pants, under and over shirts and a hooded mantle. The outfit is of blended shades found in shadows, and the hooded mantle also contains a mask that can be lifted up to obscure the face.
BIOGRAPHY:
Ryn Duskhaven was born Ryn Sanlos on the planet of Kesh. His parents were well to do, the equivalent of medieval merchant princes. They owned a large portion of several profitable cargo companies throughout the galaxy through the use of shadow corporations and their subsidiaries. His parent's were not the best of people, but they provided a stable environment for their family and supported their planet, albeit from behind the scenes. In truth, Ryn's family ran what can only be considered a Thieves Guild. The profits from business ventures, both licit and illicit, gave them a mansion with a view of the Kesh Royal Palace, as well as vacation homes and safe houses throughout the galaxy. When Ryn was only eight years old, his parent's identity was found out by rival cartels. Assets were sold quickly and the funds placed into banks that asked no questions and answered none as well, the Sanlos children, six in total, were each given new identities and sent away to various safe houses and trusted associates. The parents then tried to disappear. The agents of rival cartels, each competing for the kill, found the parents first. They hunted down several of the children as well, but Ryn and possibly others were able to evade detection.
Such was the way that Ryn was adopted into the Duskhaven family, he was trained unofficially by the remnants of his parents thieves guild. Despite his large frame, his fingers proved nimble, his feet quick and his attitude just right to help him fade into crowds easily and remain hidden in open ground if the need was absolute. Officially, Ryn attended the Kesh Royal Academy of Performing Arts. There he attained a mastery of the arts of writing, theater, vocals and several instruments. Despite his successes at the Academy, he maintained an extremely low profile. His name would not have traveled far outside the circles of Kesh and it's nobility, Royals and upper echelons of society.
When Ryn graduated from the Academy, he took up a wandering lifestyle. The remnant of the guild his parents had run still owned majorities of some shipping companies, so he easily gained berths and quickly learned how to earn his way on a ship. When he wasn't on a ship, he would break out instruments and earn his keep by playing in cantinas. All around he made an excellent vagabond, never staying in one place for too long. It was as he worked his way across the galaxy as a vagabond that he came to the attention of Tyro Wiggins, a Warden of the Sky. Tyro could feel Ryn's instinctive use of the force as he wound his way through life. Tyro followed Ryn through several systems, gauging the young mans character. Eventually, Tyro approached Ryn and offered to train him. Tyro felt that Ryn was on the precipice of taking his larceny to bigger targets, and felt that a guiding hand could keep the young man away from piracy. Tyro and Ryn traveled together for many years, Tyro training Ryn in the use of the force and the martial arts that the Wardens were particular to, Ryn trying Tyro's patience and teaching him some of the less noble skills. Together they made a good team and kept the skies clear. Eventually, though, they parted ways. It was amicable, but Wardens didn't often travel in groups, and Ryn had a good grounding in skills, combat, force and otherwise. Ryn would have to seek out his own training as he continued to wander the galaxy.
