- Advanced Hovering Capabilities
- The RZ-565 excels in dogfights due to its fast speed, high maneuverability, and easy to use controls.
- The RZ-565’s hovering capabilities and forward focused laser cannons mean that it can act as a miniature gunship in a pinch.
- The RZ-565 has enough fuel capacity and onboard rations to make longer trips than most Starfighters without needing to refuel.
- The RZ-565 has a large surface area when viewed from above, making it a large target from these angles. Approaching one from below would not work as well however, due to the bomb dropper.
- The RZ-565 has a tendency to get lost in foggy or cloudy environments, which means opposition can hide in nebulas or gas clouds.
The RZ-565 was commissioned by the Pyke Syndicate to act as an update to their horribly outdated TIE/mg Starfighters. The Glolmark Corporation was selected to design and manufacture the replacements. The end result was the RV-565 Long Range Starfighter. So far, the RV-565 has proven to be one of the Glolmark Corporation’s best designs yet, and have become highly feared among the Syndicate’s enemies. Nowadays, most Pyke military bases and safe-houses will have at least one of these starfighters, but a few of the older ones have yet to receive any, and must make due with older craft such as the TIE/mg or the A-64 Space Superiority Starfighter.
