Saber training 101!

It was a common news that was currently spreading around the universe. There was a new force which wasn't the Sith. It was slaughtering people within cold blood. This was a clear reason for all factions to start worrying as nobody would've known at which planet could be attacked. The jedi's were keeping their apprentices locked up and made them meditate for hours, while they were thinking of battle and security. The Sith were making horrifying adjustments to some of the acolytes training schedules, but Ophelia. She didn't seem to feel the darkness arising once again. She was innocently every day playing with her Nexu, which didn't need animal friendship control for the time being it had seemed. This was only because the monk that protect her, looked over her every moment of the day and if she got into such a situation, she would be poofed back once again.

It was today the day that she did not have playtime, but a training session with her master. She had a blade once again in her hand and a remote droid as always, but it was a slight different, she would get the helmet on her head so she had to focus, to sense the remotedroid and also allow the force to push from her body and tighten the connection. All of that together with the basic idea of learning her first saber style. She calmly set in the room on the ground playing with the blade making "Zwoosh" Noises as she was hitting the dummy with clumsy no technique hits.

Vulpesen smiled a bit as he entered into the room, seeing [member="Ophelia"] trying her best to practice. It was fairly adorable, albeit slightly depressing as he saw the lack of training. Too much moving of masters and herself for anything real. He had to change that. But, he still realized that Ophelia was not a person for a blade. No, if she was to learn, she needed something for emergencies, something she could use with her inborn talent with the force. Stepping up behind the student, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Ophelia, are you ready to begin?"

Ophelia was playing with the saber for the moment. She hit the dummy once after the other aiming mostly at the parts of the body which were located around the center and suddenly she fellt the soft hand of her master, [member="Vulpesen"] on her shoulder. She stopped and looked back, she giggled, "Hai there, master Vulpesen! How are you? I am ready to start training~" She had told him as innocent as always.

"I'm doing very well Ophelia. And that's good to hear." He held his arm out to the floor, promtping Ace to leap from his sleeve and start the long marks of the master's circle. "It seems, I've finally found the first lightsaber form for you to learn Ophelia. Something simple, yet protective if its used right. It should also fit with you quite nicely."

She was very happy that her master was doing well, a cute and happy smile. She was seeing Ace leaping on the sleeve of his master arms. Her Nexu was sleeping on the table further ahead. It was seeming to grow nicely. "Ooh really!" Her face was sparkling. "What are we waiting for?~ Let's not wait and start off!" She had her hands behind her back and wiggled on the front of her feet, "What lightsaber form will you teach me?" She had asked standing in her own way off attention. [member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen grinned and stepped into the ring, taking a piece of chalk from his coat to aid Ace in his creation. Using the force to guide the object, he created the master's wheel in short order. "First you must understand the purpose of Niman. Ophelia, you are young and may grow into other forms, but for now, I cannot see you in combat. You are too kind. Also, you're use of the force is quite varied and good for your age. As such, I've chosen the diplomat's form of niman, a style fit for people who prefer talk over combat while still being able to adequately defend themselves. Also, this skill makes your usage of the force quite easy." He adjusted his position, placing his feet fairly close together with his blade in a low guard. "[member="Ophelia"], try to mimic my position."

Ophelia listened towards her master, who was first of all telling her over the saber style, he was going to teach her. It was the way of the rancor, at first it seemed strange but the more she got the description about it. It actually started to make sense and she happily nodded, "I will do my very best~" She didn't know what Ace was doing in the meantime. He seemed to be drawing a circle around her master, but for what reason?

She started to overlook the fighting style her master had taken for her, the starting position. Her right foot shifted forward, her weight remained in the center, both her hands grabbed the handle of the practice saber. She held the saber at waist height with her arms extended. The tip of the saber pointing downwards, "Like this, master Vulpesen?"

(Did I leave out any information of the stance if so correct me please)

Vulpesen smiled broadly as she took her position and Ace drew a a small ring around her as well, finishing the pattern of the master's wheel. "Actually, that's near perfect." With his ashlan bond, he gave Ace a new directive, causing the wolf to leap to the apprentice and crawl around her body, making small adjustments. Move a finger here. Widen or close the legs. Just the things that would make her poition truly perfect. "Now, before we get into the form, we'll be going on with saber combat in general, starting with he zones of attack. From order of zone one through six. Head, right arm and side, left arm and side, back, right leg, and finally the left leg.

The stance was being finished up with the help of Ace, who corrected her body and the adjustments were allowed to be made. She listened after that about the different zones. "Head, right arm, left arm, back, right leg and side, and left leg and side." She repeated in her head nodding to her master after that smiling cutely. "I think I can remember that, but why are their zones?"

[member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen smiled a bit as he saw her take her position. "The zones denote the importance of where your lightsaber hits. If it hits zone one, your opponent will almost always die. Zone two, since most use their right arm, will severely hamper, if not cripple him in battle. And the list goes down from there." He started to moved slightly from side to side in front of his apprentice. "[member="Ophelia"], do you remember your training in telekinesis?"

Ophelia listened energetically to the instructions of her master about the different zones of attacking and that the lethal blows went from 1 to 6 only by the ranking of lethality "Ooh okay! I understand that, mhm." She kept on following her master with her head as he walked from side to side. "But, of course I remember my telekinesis training! I became very good at it! Lady Circe and Lady Alexandra both helped me getting a bit better at it. What does saber combat have in common with Telekinesis" [member="Vulpesen"]

The Tenevi Master grew a small grin as he continued his slow pacing. "A duel is much like a dance. We all have our steps and sometimes we lead with an attack. Or sometimes we follow with our defenses. The loser of the duel is he who trips in the dance. That's why Niman uses telekinesis. It interrupts the dance and makes a person trip." He smiled at her and held his hand out to a training dummy. "Its difficult enough to track blades and fight. But when you find yourself disorganized and shaken..." he demonstrated by using the force to violently shake the training dummy. "Do you think you could defend yourself, [member="Ophelia"]?"

She listened to her master, listening about her fighting stance being like a dance, the one who trips is the one that loses. She found it quite funny and giggled cutely as her cheeks became red, "Dueling is like dancing, that's not bad~" She listened about Niman and her Telekineses were a great combination and was common to be used together within her fighting style. She looked over towards her Tenevi Master and the training dummy. It started to violently shake but, Ophelia didn't get held back by it. She nodded to answer her master, "Mhm, ofcourse I can master [member="Vulpesen"] ~"

Vulpesen watched her carefully and released his hold on the dummy before swirling his own saber. Of course, he'd go easy on her, but h figured it was time for her to get her first sense of activity. He turned his saber to its non-fatal setting and started towards her. "Use the force to unbalance me, then counter attack." As he spoke, he made a simply overhead strike, aimed at her right shoulder.

The battle was on now. It was Padawan against Master. Her eyes looked towards her master as he already wanted to spar. She giggled cutely and said, "Okay~" She eyed over towards the dummy and giggled again. The dummy was starting to levitate and went from the side to Vulpesen! She would take steps back and remain in the defensive or playish mood against [member="Vulpesen"]
