SPECIAL FEATURES
Ammo Box pouches -
On the inside of the stock there is a pouch that can hold one cartridge of bullets. This makes it easy access for a faster reload.
Grip -
under the barrel there is a grip to help with maintaining accuracy and turning the gun faster.
Shock absorbing stock -
The stock has been designed to absorb recoil. Lowering recoil was an important feature due to been in close combat situations.
Range finder -
Due to the type of ammunition a rangefinder is needed for it function.
Strengths:
Silent - using magnetic coils the gun makes minimal noise making it difficult to determine the location of the user.
Saber resistance -
Since the barrel is used from songsteel it has a resistance against lightsabers. This could potentially save her life due to CQC.
High damage output -
With the use of magnetic coils the canister is fired at a high speed increasing penertration.
Weaknesses:
Slow to reload -
Due to the size of the magazine used it can be tasking to swap an empty magazine with a full one.
Emp/ion -
Emp and ion attacks can affect how the weapon operates since it disrupts the magnetic coils. This would greatly reduce the stopping power and cause the weapon to use conventional forms of operating making it loud to fire.
Stand and back for me -
Due to the type of ammunition used the canister needs at least six meters to get the best spread. Any less would result in a small spread or the target been hit by the canister before it had exploded releasing the fetchlets.
Backwards Recoil -
Although the weapon uses a shock absorbing stock it still can pack a punch. After each shot there is a heavy backwards jolt that is merely cushioned to prevent causing the user discomfort.
DESCRIPTION
The SABR Hœnir is the new scattergun to go along with her new sniper file. It uses the same materials to keep it as lightweight as possible yet durable at the same time. When she was making this weapon she had a few things in mind that was necessary. Recoil, ammo capacity and stopping power. The ammunition used is similar to the FC-1 that fires “anti-personnel canister which upon detonation spread hundreds of razor-sharp flechettes over a ten-meter area, potentially eliminating an entire squad in one shot.”
With the speed the canister is fired at the penetration is almost double of that of a standard scattergun. Meaning it will shred most common types of heavy armor at a moderate range and even puncture holes in armors made of beskar and phrik at it's closest range. The gun make use of several attachments like the grip that is used to keep the weapon stable for each shot. The rangefinder is also an important attachment due to the ammunition relying on it for releasing the fetchlets from it's canister after been fired. It also make use of stock to reduce the level of recoil the weapon could have been capable of.
