Culture: A retreat planet atmosphere, intended for those who come to enjoy the seclusion and native beauty.
Technology: To heighten the relaxation, technology is kept at a minimum. Besides air cars and shuttles, everything is kept as traditional as possible.
History: The planet Sakura was discovered by Atrisian explorers reaching out after the Gulag quarantine broke out. It is a relatively young planet, with no large native animals on its land masses. The explorers were shocked to see the pinkish hue of the planet from space, and discovered it was because of the high amount of astaxanthin. The planet’s plant life, including the algae that filled the oceans, consisted of such high concentrations of astraxanthin that the entire world appears pink.
The discoverers were entranced by the beauty, and soon the recordings of the planet circulated among Atrisians. Some saw a chance at a profitable enterprise and rushed off to stake their claims. Quickly tourist resorts popped up across the planet, and a silent agreement formed to keep the planet as quiet and untouched as possible. Most resorts feature at least one hot spring, so that visitors might relax among the pink hued world.
The resorts are supported by small towns of workers and other support, all built from local materials in traditional Atrisian styling. By all appearances these towns appear extremely primitive, with all their modern amenities hidden from view. The populace must import all their food, as they do not wish to destabilize the planet’s ecology by introducing foreign plans and animals.

Intent: To help fill the general emptiness on the left side of the map, and to create a world for the Atrisian Empire to interact with hopefully with the intention of claiming and creating some kind of unified company to manage the resorts.
