  • Stability: High
    • Salis D'aar is a safe and pleasant city to visit, so long as you aren't a Force User or at the very least good at hiding the fact. It is ran by a authoritarian government with Imperial roots and is heavily regulated and patrolled. The only illicit items permitted are the state produced Namana products and only by state licensed merchants. The people here are nationalistic and very pro-Imperial due to their cultural history and ties to former Empires.
  • Freedom & Oppression: The people of the city are heavily policed and regulated while their individual freedoms are somewhat curbed for their safety. Due to its Imperialistic laws and culture, the people remain nationalistic if not wary of their current government. Sedition and outspoken beliefs not supported by the state are quickly put down. For the average citizen doing what they're told to do; the city is a lovely place safe from the dangers of Wild Space.
  • Description: The city was laid out in a roughly circular design, with its major streets either concentric circles or spoke boulevards. Salis D'aar's three districts were also concentric circles identified by different-colored streetlights. The inner district, the Arden Ring was primarily for public buildings and lit blue-white, the middle Danisai Ring was mostly divided between residential and commercial buildings and lit pale yellow, finally, the outer circle, the Bakur Ring, was reserved for service buildings and light industry and lit deep red.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Salis D'aar
was the capital city of Bakura, It was located between two rivers on the planet, one being the West River, the other, the East River. It was founded by the leader of the first Human colonists to Bakura, Deredith Arden. The city was located atop a a massive plateau called D'aarmont. D'aarmont was a natural quartz outcropping on Bakura, located at the confluence of the East River and West River. It measured three kilometers in length and fifty kilometers in width, providing a suitable base for a thriving city. The outcropping was formed as the two rivers eroded the softer rock around it.

The city was established by Human colonist from the Bakur Mining Corporation back in 150 BBY. Over the centuries the city has grown and expanded from a measly 7 million inhabitants to over 50 million residents, not including tourist and other visitors. The city is noted as having a isolationist and xenophobic culture which it shares with the rest of the planet due to the invasion of the Ssi-ruuk long ago. They were also uneasy around droids due to a Droid Uprising in 97 BBY. Though the centuries have started to heal some of these wounds.

Salis D'aar, and by extension Bakura, is noted for its starship and repulsorcraft innovations. Repulsorcraft are so ubiquitous, that even ordinary furniture was replaced by repulsor chairs. Indeed, even centuries later, these two markets are still readily monopolied by Bakuran companies with state approval. The city has capitalized on these gains by turning another Wild Space backwater into a commercial and industrial hub of the region. Its citizens are of average wealth, dutiful and loyal to its government. Thanks to their nationalistic and xenophobic cultural background, its people are rather prone to Imperialistic ideals.
