STRENGTHS
- Disabler: The Samael Class makes use of a vast array of Ion weapons, rather than a more standard plasma based arsenal. In combat, the Samael Class focuses on disabling enemy warships with its Ion weaponry, and either eliminating them with its arsenal of missile weaponry, or crippling it so that other allied ships can finish them off.
- Closer: The Samael Class has limited close to medium range weaponry of a capital ship grade. Its focus on Ion cannons and missiles allows it to disable and destroy ships at long range, but it lacks the kind of firepower to engage enemy ships in head to head broadsides.
The Samael Class is the first ship designed by Darth Vindictus to serve as a patrol and escort frigate for the New Sith Order within the Brotherhood of the Maw. Many warships in the Brotherhood fleet are already equipped to serve as frontline warships, capable of destroying entire formations of enemy vessels, and so Vindictus turned his mind to creating a support vessel for this fleet. The mass of Ion cannons on board the Samael Class, along with its arsenal of lethal Assault Concussion Missiles allows it to support larger Brotherhood of the Maw and New Sith Order fleets as either a patrol ship or escort vessel.
