Crafted using ground up blood stones and cortosis with durasteel. The classic slicewire had proven useful to the ASA maid and for her skills but Isley Verd her master and the one paying her for her services only ever delivered on her net launcher. So Ikki was out in the cold as she worked to fight for the ASA with little other reason then she had a room and a bed with them.
Then she was at the invasion of Naboo and fought the Princess of Theed in a brutal battle that showed her how much she had been improving with the wire, when she dispatched the one group of guards who had gotten onto the scene of the fight first. Well that had proven useful but against a palace the small amount of slicewire with limited ranger couldn't handle it.
So she improvised and while dragging the Princess towards the sewers the two of them got into a brawl that ended with her lay at the bottom of a shaft in contaminated water. She spent the next few days in bacta fighting the infections and getting her fingers that had been bitten off by the girl replaces. Small cybernetics that could be under to house spools of slicewire of a longer length.
That was the plan and she went to work using what she found when she was helping the silver jedi on Shri-tal investigate in their search for information on the hammers. She found a box of the blood jewels and ground them into a fine powder adding it with cortosis and then both into durasteel. The process for creating new slicewire being done so she could have it.
The new spools were for her fingers going into specially designed gloves that used carbonite casings to protect her fingers and tips to add a little weight to the ends of the wire. A little pin release so she could pull out and pull back in wire for function adding to her gloves weight but it would prove heavier then she was used to. She took a little time to gt used to it but it wouldn't be a factor.
The thinness of the wire making dexterity a small issue but she could still wrap her fingers around the trigger of her net launcher. The wire in practice able to cut through most heavy armors with beskar snapping the wires. Phrik proved similarly as ineffective but below those materials most went through like butter save super dense and heavy metals.
Then there was the cortosis in a good enough concentration to add resistant properties to the wire, it could block and wrap around a saber but would not be cut. It can be snapped like pulling a line taunt enough and then tugging can snap the line, it can be controlled when focused on with telekinetics which is something Ikki uses it for through training being able to see the gleam of the thin wire.
The only additional thing about it and there is a small chance thanks to the Devaronian blood jewels being crushed into a powder is... The chance to poison ones who are attacked. The jewels making the wire cause excruciating pain to exposed skin and when they touch the blood stream the dangerous poison can be cause from the reaction. The stones being used for torture and crushed by people to be added to blades in the creation process.
