| OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION |
  • Intent: To give status on the current state of Phoenix’s mobile computer
  • Image Source: BlakeZ or something like that.
  • Canon Link: Computer
  • Restricted Missions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Sandro V2.08

| PRODUCTION INFORMATION |
  • Manufacturer: Jennifer Phoenix
  • Model: Sandro V.3.5
  • Affiliation: Jen
  • Production: Unique
  • Modularity: As with most computers several attachments such as mouses, microphones etc. can be attached. Furthermore, different software can be downloaded onto the device.
  • Materials: Aluminium, Plastics, High-Grade Hardware

| SPECIAL FEATURES |

  • SANDRO: Over the years, Jennifer have tweaked the custom Sandro OS and turned it into a one of a kind slicing OS to fit her personal preferences. Recently she have made space for a “companion” nicknamed Lil Sandro. LS is essentially an advanced droid interface which assists Jennifer during slicing activities by doing calculations on the fly and providing additional resources useful in the bypassing of computer and security systems. Aiding her and increasing her performance.
  • RRDM: A custom Rapid Repetition Defense Measure program, nicknamed ICE (intrusion countermeasures electronics) is installed on the laptop. This help ensure the laptop is not infected by malicious programming. While it automatically categorizes threats and often deal with them by itself, Jennifer often updates it manually. This makes it capable of spotting and dealing with virus’ the computer has not even encountered before.
  • UCI: The Sandro contains an Universal Computer Interface and can be hooked up to other computer terminals via a scomp link, security interfaces or even through airborne communication systems should the target be able to receive data through such means.
  • JAM: Within the Sandro Jennifer have implemented a universal jammer making it easier to smuggle the heavily priced computer through security.
  • HGH: High Grade Hardware. Due to Jennifers proximity to the black market and the underground slicing community at large, she have over the years managed procured expensive and even government restricted hardware. This makes the Sandro 3.5 a true beast of a machine.
  • CEM: Custom Encryption Module. As an extra layer of protection, the Sandro features a custom encryption module. Able to be turned on and off via a manual button, the encryption module is able to encrypt all data being send through the Sandro.

| STRENGTHS |

Hardware:
the hardware and components found within the Sandro 3.5 are pricy and of extremely high-grade. Making the Sandro able to outperform all normal datapads and even some computer systems.

Custom: the Sandro was made for Jennifer, by Jennifer. The Sandro is probably the closest thing she has to a child, at least for now, and a lot of care and thought was put into its design. This means that Jennifer is able to work on the Sandro extremely efficiently.

|
WEAKNESSES |

Heavy: Being stronger and more powerful than a normal datapad comes at its price. The Sandro is both larger and heavier than standard datapads and therefore not as easily concealable and also harder to carry around.

Not Unbreakable: Despite its enormous processing power and custom gadgets, the Sandro is not invincible. While it can withstand a drop from a few meters in the air and maybe even survive getting thrown about, a single blaster shot should be enough to make the Sandro a pile of garbage.

Limited Battery: When not hooked up to a charging station, the Sandro is running on limited operation time. On a full charge it can keep up with maximum workloads for 5 hours before shutting down.

| DESCRIPTION |

T
he Sandro project originally started years ago when the Red Ravens’ slicers were in need of a device capable of doing heavy duty slicing in the field. All these years ago Jennifer decided to take on this task (as she was not doing much other than partying and drinking anyway) both to help her friends but also so she could have a project to take care of and maintain.

Despite the heavy development of the Sandro it was seldom used by other slicers than Jennifer herself and by the time the Red Ravens disbanded it had become a solitary and personal project. Without the Red Ravens, Jennifer decided to modify the Sandro for personal use, getting rid of its Red Raven dependent features and optimizing it for her favorite past-time activity, soon to become full-time job: Slicing.

In most aspects the Sandro works like any other old personal computer. It is capable of browsing the holonet, play online hutt smash (at maximum graphical settings) and watch holoflix. However, one of places where the Sandro differs from most other devices is in its hardware. Several high-grade and blackmarket acquired wares were chosen for absolute optimal performance.

Features like its advanced droid interface divides it further from the rest of the flock, the interface aiding a user that knows how to utilize it during slicing and programming. The Sandro is also a hard nut to crack should anyone attempt to slice into it. While the custom encryption module help ensure the safety of all communication out of the device, the software nicknamed ICE otherwise known as custom Rapid Repetition Defense Measure, helps combat and keep out programming that could compromise the Sandro.

Despite its many strength it is still just a computer, and a big one at that. With a ten centimeter thickness, 20 centimeter length and 17 centimeter height it is not an ordinary datapad. This along with its weight makes it much harder to carry around and conceal than other devices. Furthermore, the easiest way to take out the Sandro is to destroy it, easily done by a blaster bolt.
