Public Sands of Time

Peter-Lik-Desert-Dunes-Framed-Recess-Mount_1800x.jpg

We are but grains of sand in the black dunes the stars inhabit.

Endlessly searching for meaning.

Struggling for a purpose.

Fighting against the currents.

Yet when we are presented with the truth, we deny it.

We don't want to accept the things we are.

We tell ourselves we are more than we are presented with.

We want to be more than just a grain of sand.

Then with time the wind sweeps across the sand, and we are gone.

Our memory, our purpose, our meaning we so desperately clung to faded.

Yet the Sands of Time carry on.

Her eyes remained closed as the ship rocked back forth through the atmosphere of the world. Tamsin tried to put her fear aside, all roads had lead them here. It started with a simple vision of an old sith temple. It led to a manifestation of a ghost of the past on Jutrand that claimed to know her. Then there was the deal her master made with the demon with in her. Everything had brought them here, to find the answers or so they hoped.

Yet Tamsin feared it would lead to more questions than answers. Then there was the fact she could feel the demon churning inside of her it felt stronger than before. In truth, unknown to Tamsin the spirit was stronger, it had consumed two more parts of its fragments to make itself closer to whole. It could even now take full possession of her body though only for limited amounts of time.

Worry washed over Tamsin's face as she tried to meditate and calm herself. In the very back of her mind she could here a low whisper. It called out to the unknown beckoning someone, something, or maybe multiple people to come. Those touched by the Omen's path were all being called to this world. The Demon didn't want to be a secret anymore, it wanted people to bare witness.

Tamsin didn't know how to explain the feeling, but the demon was done hiding it wanted to gloat. No, it wasn't gloating, it wanted them to see what it was capable of. It wanted them to see none of them could stop what had been put into motion so long ago. It got a giddy pleasure out of the game it wanted to play.

It frightened Tamsin that this thing in her didn't fear or care about those it wished to enlighten. She could feel it, this thing saw those that Tamsin had met in her journey free of slavery as nothing more than chess pieces on a board. It even saw Tamsin's as nothing more than a pawn.

Her dark eyes opened as she felt the ship land down, no amount of meditation was going to lift the trepidation from her bones. Wearily she pushed herself to her feet and moved towards the exit ramp where Kaila Irons Kaila Irons would be waiting for her. She said nothing as she moved towards her sister and master. Her senses heightened as she reached the exit ramp she felt a sense of familiarity wash over her, almost like she had been here before.

Her lips trembled slightly, her fear and anxiety running through her blood like a high-speed pod race. The exit ramp doors opened, and the bright sun of the desert world began to seep in through the cracks. The dry air bringing back memories of Tatooine but this was not Tatooine but another dry rock in space. From the info Kaila had shared it was world filled with biker gangs that ruled territory, a few old imperial bases, and one main city Zoronhed that acted as a hub and neutral territory for the gangs.

Zoronhed is where their journey would begin and where the duo would meet those the omen call went out too. They need information on how to find the old ruined sith temple. "So, it begins." Tamsin said, letting out a big sigh as the trembling words left her lips and she looked up towards Kaila. Fear in those dark eyes, fear of the impending doom she felt might be head their way. "I am sorry."

It bothered Kaila that she had been unable to fulfill her promise thus far. Tamsin was no mere pawn on the dejarik board of the young sith, but the closest thing she had to a sister since losing the memory of any family she once had, and yet Kaila had inadvertently lied to her on the promise that she may one day be freed of her dark passenger, as Kaila once had.

Kaila, Darth Anathemous, whatever she was called now, had grown used to the feel of lying, but not to those who she believed deserved the truth. Her ever diligent apprentice and comrade in arms deserved that and more.

And it hurt to see her so stricken by fear.

"So, it begins." Tamsin said, letting out a big sigh as the trembling words left her lips and she looked up towards Kaila. Fear in those dark eyes, fear of the impending doom she felt might be head their way. "I am sorry."

Kaila gently squeezed the girl's shoulder, closing her eyes, for she could not look into Tamsin's own now.

"
It's not your fault... it never was." she sighed painfully.

"
It's hers... it's."

When her eyes opened again, they were fixed on the path ahead, aglow with the resolve and golden fury of a sibling who would do unspeakable things to any who dared harm the warrior-witch's sister.

There was an opportunity here which she must take while time remained, to draw out the spirit and finally finish what she and Tamsin had started on Tatooine. Either the girl would consume that wretched spirit and break her chains, or Kaila would, it made no difference now. So long as it died one last time, and Tamsin was safe. That's all that mattered.

Kaila donned her mask, allowing Darth Anathemous to take the helm once more as calculated precision became the demand of the hour, carrying her into the city with marching purpose.

There could be no mistakes this time.

The hideout was dimly lit, a stark contrast to the blazing sun outside, and filled with the hum of machinery and the quiet murmur of voices. Enigma stood at the center of the room, her sleek pink chassis gleaming faintly in the artificial light. Around her, a dozen bounty hunters—grizzled veterans of countless hunts—gathered in a loose semicircle, their expressions a mix of respect and wariness. Though they were some of the best in the trade, they knew they were in the presence of something far beyond their understanding.

Her voice cut through the murmur like a vibroblade, smooth and precise. "The target has landed. Tamsin and her companions will make their way to Zoronhed. They will seek information about the Sith temple, and in doing so, they will expose themselves." Enigma's photoreceptors flickered faintly as she turned to a holomap projected on the table before her. It showed a detailed layout of Zoronhed: winding streets, territory markers for the local biker gangs, and a bright red marker indicating the cantina where the ambush would take place.

The bounty hunters listened intently, their eyes flickering between the map and the droid commander. Enigma's brilliance was already legendary among their ranks. She wasn't just a tactician; she was a force of nature, a machine that anticipated every move before it was made. Her plans were flawless, her precision unmatched, and her presence commanding.

One of the hunters, a scarred Zabrak with a heavy blaster slung over his shoulder, spoke up. "This Tamsin… She's got powerful friends right, Sith?" His voice carried an edge of unease. "How do we deal with something like that?"

Enigma turned her gaze to him, her photoreceptors narrowing slightly in what could almost be mistaken for disdain. "You do not deal with it," she replied coolly. "You follow the plan. The cantina is neutral ground, controlled by gangs with no love for Tamsin or her companions. They will serve as additional pressure, hemming her in. My Commando Droids will execute the ambush with surgical precision. Your task is to support, secure the perimeter, and ensure there are no complications."

She gestured to a group of tall, imposing droids standing silently near the back of the room. Their angular designs and polished armor made them appear almost ceremonial, but the blasters slung across their backs and the vibroblades at their hips told a different story. These were Enigma's personal unit, an elite squad of Commando Droids designed and programmed to execute her will with absolute efficiency.

"The Commando Droids will take point," Enigma continued, her voice calm and measured. "Tamsin and her group will not expect resistance so early in their journey. They will be overconfident, distracted by the need to secure information. The cantina is an ideal location—chaotic, loud, and filled with potential collateral damage they will be forced to avoid. We will not have such limitations."

The room was silent as the hunters absorbed her words. One of them, a Rodian with a cybernetic arm, chuckled nervously. "Sounds like a slaughter waiting to happen."

"It will be," Enigma said flatly. "But only if you adhere to the plan."

She turned back to the holomap, highlighting the cantina and the surrounding streets. "The cantina's entrance will be our choke point. The gangs will be positioned as a secondary line of interference. The moment Tamsin enters, the Commando Droids will seal off the exits. Your teams will block any external reinforcements. Any attempt to flee will be met with overwhelming force."

Her photoreceptors flickered again, and she straightened to her full height, her imposing presence silencing even the faint whispers among the hunters. "Tamsin must not leave the city. The bounty on her head is significant, but more importantly, her capture serves my greater purpose. Failures will not be tolerated."
She allowed the silence to linger, letting her words sink in before delivering her final command. "Prepare yourselves. The cantina is already under surveillance. Tamsin and her group will be there soon. I expect precision. No improvisation. This operation will succeed because it must."

The hunters exchanged glances, their confidence bolstered by the meticulous strategy laid out before them. They might have been some of the most ruthless killers in the galaxy, but even they understood the value of following Enigma's lead. She was not just a commander; she was a mind that calculated every possible outcome, a force that bent the galaxy to her will.

The cantina would soon become a crucible, and Enigma would ensure that every piece on the board moved exactly as she intended.

The Diarch had bristled at being summoned once again. But this he had a vested interest in, this entity he had met in the Korribani desert had captivated him. Enough so, that he had requested the aid of his brother in looking into the history of this entity. Their research had not borne fruit however, so here he was. Another blasted desert planet, lawless and chaotic, everything he hated.

Landing his newly released
NZ Upsilon II-class/DX Executive Command Shuttle on the outskirts of the town of Zoronhed, he surveyed the area. The Swoop gangs had absolute control of their territories, and Reign would receive no warm welcome here.

As he walked down the ramp of his shuttle, he lifted the hood of his cape over his head, and tucked his lightsaber on his belt behind him, hidden as well by the black shimmersilk cape. His face had been all over holos lately, and he did not want to draw undue attention.

On he walked, towards a cantina in the middle of the town, utilizing the force to make the people of the town forget his face if they'd seen it. If asked, they would remember only a simple traveler who's details they could not remember.

"So it begins" he thought as he entered the building.

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
The force had strange complications. There were times where laphisto had thought he was making his own conscious thoughts and at times he felt compelled to do something out, and it would not leave him I bothered till he did so. And this was one of those moments he didn't know who what or why he was drawn to this planet. A scene filled with such disarray that he wouldn't have come here if his own volition let alone without a purpose for his order. Maybe even a few soldiers to keep him company. Though he arrived here mostly by himself. His limited eye sight prevented him from flying on his own but he was still capable of commanding a ship. And what better ship than the one that started his journey in this Galaxy.

Stepping off the loading ramp of the Conquests agenda followed closely by commander Tarian. The commander has become some what of a companion for laphisto over the years. He had grown to trust the man's insight and strategic mind. That and having some one entirely dead to the force and undetectable to force sensitives had its advantage. As the pair began to move the commander would wave off the usual guard that tended to follow laphisto " to many body's to be seen. Stay with the ship make sure no one steals anything keldan "

Laphisto raised a brow at the man with a chuckled shake of his head gesturing towards the city and letting his eyes flash a teal blue as he peered into the world around him through the force " oh come now Tarian, you really think these fine people would resort to stealing?" The sarcasm was dripping on his voice as he turned to look at the commander. Only to for the commander to speak on his left on the other side he was looking causing him to grab his weapon instinctively.

" As a matter of fact sir, I don't trust this entire town to turn on us any time soon. The faster we finish up here and get back to the station the better. "

Laphisto frowned some what letting the force fade from his eyes and causing him to wince lightly hand shooting up to grab at the bridge of his nose, rubbing at the corners of his eyes before turning back towards the city. " Alright let's get a move on then. I'm feeling some what parched let us get a drink"

Just once, just once could I not deal with every single Force User across the galaxy in one place?!

These thoughts were bubbling to the surface of Trayze Tesar, Detective turned Acolyte turned ad hoc pilgrim - who sought out the nearby holy world to learn more of Eternalism, the philosophy of the Sith, and their alleged meddlings in ghosts. As part of his self imposed curriculum to learn the more mystical aspects of the Force, Trayze made his forays across the Sith Empire to various locales for study. While Zonju V was technically on the very edge of the Galaxy, it remained within spitting distance of the Sith, and so the Kiffar deemed it as an "interesting backwater".

Apparently, it was so "interesting" that several Force users of neutral persuasion (and two Sith, if his senses were still accurate) were just, casually converging on the same cantina. What would have been the setup to a bad joke, or a Pioneer genre plot device, was becoming a very imminent reality for Trayze, as he met the alleged destiny head on - he could do no else.

It was in this moment, as the Force users finally pittered in one at a time that Trayze kept his head on a swivel, his senses sharp, and his presence gradually approaching the two Sith.

No sudden or obvious movements, and don't speak when you're spoken to, keep your pistol ready.

As the interior of the starship rocked with the force of atmospheric translation, Tarasynora stood alone in the refresher, staring aimlessly into the visor of her helmet. The reflective ceraglass threw back her image, giving light to a young Elzeri that was eerily unfamiliar to her. Wide, saucer-like eyes manifested lines of exhaustion beneath. Splotchy features which lacked much of their normal color. And her hair, while not thinning, was weak and lacking in luster.

Since Tarasynora had been brought into the Red Ronin, the Elzeri had worked almost nonstop for months on end in an effort to pay off her debt by her own merits. It was an obligation that not even Kaila had been made aware of. And in keeping the reality of her extreme debt to the company which had created her hidden, Tara realized that it had caused her and Kaila to become distant in the wake of the short-burning fire which had defined the initial days of their relationship.

However, it was a realization come far too late.

Now, Kaila had requested her presence, for what she had only been told was an important mission. Tarasynora had contemplated telling the Sith of her debt, but felt no reason to commit to doing so. Kaila had since dated and loved other women. And while Tarasynora had always known that she was not the Sith’s only partner, the Elzeri knew now that whatever romantic relationship they had shared was all but over, even if such a declaration had not been made formal or outright stated.

A single tear slipped from her eye then, only to be promptly wiped away. Nevertheless, with a deep, superficially calming breath, Tarasynora slid her helmet over her head, the tinted visor mercifully concealing her pale, puffy features from view as she left the refresher to grab the rest of her gear. At that point, the ship lurched to a halt, indicating a successful landing.

Soon, Tarasynora arrived at the disembarkment ramp before carefully making her way down, walking not too far behind Kaila and her apprentice as she did.

Another day of work. And hopefully, more money to pay off the debt.

Tamsin, Kaila Irons Kaila Irons , and Tarasynora Tarasynora disembarked the ship and started to make their way to the best place in town for information the cantina. Perhaps Kaila was right, it wasn't her fault, but she sure felt like it was. Everything the two had been through up to this point felt so much like the dark omen that had followed her whole life befalling everyone around her. Though she had warned Kaila the first time they ever met, of her curse, Kaila had always fought against that notion.

Tamsin looked to the little elf woman, another person who had been caught in the cursed circle Tamsin projected. The woman looked a little worse for the ware since the last time she had seen her. Yet she had chosen not to pry, it was not her place but if she knew she probably would have tried to help in any way she could.

Probably would have made it worse, she thought to herself as they walked through the town of Zoronhed head. The town was busy and full of people just trying to make a life on a backwater world like this. The town itself had seen better days old run-down building some made of sandstone and others of duracrete but almost all of them were crumbling or falling apart in some way.

Though at the center of the could clearly be seen from anyway one entered the city from was a fortress. It once housed leadership of the town long ago but now it was just an open market and a place for swoop gangs to parley in this neutral territory. The trio made their way towards the center because the town Cantina was set up in the old barracks of the fortress. Walking past stalls selling all manners of things from meats, root vegetables, pets, pack animals, and junk parts. People barking out to crowds to come to look at their wares.

As they came closer to the Barracks Cantina there was a large graffiti sign above it that read The Vagabonds Rest. Yet that wasn't what caught Tamsin's attention as they approached it. Her head turned off to the side and off to left side she heard an auctioneer barking for bids, where she saw a large sign above a stage, on the stage was a scared man bound in chains. The sign read the Slavers Nest and it caused Tamsin to close her eyes for a moment, this place was just like Tatooine.

She looked away from it, she could do anything about it. It was not the reason they were here, but it made her think back to Tatooine and the other slaves she had left behind when she was rescued. It wasn't her place and this close to sith territory her freeing slaves would not go unnoticed. She turned and looked to the right of the cantina hoping to see something that could pull her mind away from the slave auction and the bad memories it brought to her.

The area was empty but there was a stage as well, though there was no sign above it, it was clear what its purpose was. It had a large arch above the stage and several nooses across the arch. "No place like home." She commented half sarcastically to no one in particular. "I wonder what it wants us to find here?"

Tamsin then stopped just before the door of the cantina, she paused and looked around again she felt something familiar. "I think Laphisto might be here." She also felt someone else nearby, but she didn't know why it was familiar to her. "Kaila, Tara either of you got a weird feeling about this? Like deep in the pit of your stomach?"

It started with nightmares. At times, Quinn could fend them off with her own abilities. Still, it seemed to only anger whatever was trying to dig into her psyche. The last night, she groaned and pressed her knuckles into her temples, trying to relieve herself of the pain that always followed the nightmares.

"Fine, I'll karking go!"

--------------------------

Her shuttle had touched down a few hours before the others arrived. Quinn didn't come alone; a woman a few years younger had accompanied her, and upon disembarking, the pair headed down the ramp. At the same time, Quinn tried to figure out what was clawing at her mind. The sensation of something bombarding her with summons and foggy images that she couldn't make out. Yet, it seemed where they were standing was familiar. Whatever called to her was satisfied with her arrival and her apprentice's.

It didn't take long for the pair to find themselves at the cantina; Quinn was visibly annoyed by the breadcrumbs the invader kept leaving in her mind. The Princess didn't take too kindly to something forcing her hand; in her mind, she was the keeper of her will - not even the Force could bend her. The place was far from anything the Princess was used to. Not even the Second Legion's barbarians would enjoy this place. Groaning, Quinn lowered the thin hood from the crown of silver locks. Already, she could feel the eyes of the undesirables looking at the pair. Though, knowing her apprentice, - she was the one already catching their gaze. "Stay close this time, please, Eira." Quinn carefully warned. The girl had a mind of her own, was aggressive, and knew her desires. The freedom of her simplicity was something Quinn quietly envied - it was a freedom that she would never know.

Her eyes continued scanning the room, trying to see if anything familiar would pull at her. Nothing yet, and Quinn once more found annoyance furrowing her brow. "Those nooses out front didn't look like they were just for decoration, so we must behave ourselves." A hand rubbed the young royal's neck, and she could feel the heavy gulp silently fall to the pit of her stomach. "I don't think we look good in prison garb."

Quinn continued to move through the cantina, dragging Eira behind her till she found a place at the bar. At least seated at the bar, they would be in the center for whoever desired to be looking for them. Looking at the bartender, Quinn smiled, "I'll have a…" her gaze looked behind to only see cobwebs on the wine bottles. To her dismay, they were probably all vinegar by now. "I'll have a gin and tonic," her voice showed a hint of flirtation as she leaned over the bar slightly. The bartender, having served several rough-looking men for the last few hours, welcomed the fair beauty in his bar. "Right away and on the house - if you tell me where you're staying tonight." Quinn feigned entertaining his question; she had no desire to slum with the bartender of a bar that smelled like week-old musk. "I'll think about it." she smiled, and then, with a slight wiggle of her fingers, the man fell under her spell and began to make the drinks quickly - forgetting his question.

Here, Tamsin, Kaila, and Tara would find another pair of their adventuring party.

Eira had been taken on by Quinn for further instruction and it had been an interesting change in pace, Eira was learning to adjust her behaviours and attitudes towards other Sith. She had worked herself to be colder and reluctant in accepting the help of others but Quinn was working hard on demonstrating the importance of having allies and learning to work effectively in a team. And the importance of demonstrating respect to her peers instead of the usual contempt and wariness Eira held.

This also meant that Quinn was taking Eira to work on missions together. Which was another adjustment to the way Eira had been operating before being taken on as Quinn's apprentice, she was used to demonstrating her skills alone on missions. It was the path she wanted to take as she grew as a Sith Assassin. However, Eira knew that this would not always be the case and the outcomes of her previous missions had been of mixed success due to her preference for working alone.

"Of course Master, I would not dare to act without your consent." Eira stated, she was learning to temper herself more, rein in the anger and focus on the training being provided to her. It was difficult and she was someone who tended to rebel or push the line when things were grey, however, Quinn was being direct with her and Eira knew better than daring to cross her Master. The last time she had gone too far, Quinn had demonstrated why that was not acceptable. It was a punishment that Eira was never going to forget.

The comment on the prison garb outside caused Eira to grin, "well, Master, I am sure we would find a way to turn any attire into something stylish and attractive." Eira smirked to her Master, with a slight flirtatious wink before following Quinn into the cantina.

Entering the less than ideal bar, Eira settled at the bar, looking over to her Master as she ordered a gin and tonic after a great deal of hesitation. Eira looked to the bartender and shook her head, not wishing to cloud her mind with alcohol and not trusting the freshness or quality of the non-alcohol beverage. It was best for her to hold off on drinking anything for now. Watching her Master flirt with the bartender with no intentions on following through on it caused her to chuckle. "Dangerous being a tease, Master." Eira commented once the bartender was out of earshot.

Tarasynora followed the two women through the town in relative silence, her senses primed as she studied her surroundings. Her training under the assassins of the Red Ronin had conditioned her to the hazards of urban environments. While she could not match them in terms of martial prowess, her combat skills were much improved since her first mission. Thus, the Elzeri kept her eyes peeled for anything suspicious or seemingly off-kilter. Her gaze lingered on the decrepit, abandoned buildings that they passed—ideal locations for a stakeout or a sniper. Then, there were the townspeople. She tried not to openly stare, but those who appeared to be armed might have earned second looks.

Fortunately, the group arrived outside the cantina without incident, after passing through the marketplace. Tarasynora took note of a few errant swoop gangers in the area, but from what she could tell, none seemed to pay them more attention than what normal outsiders would have received.

At that point, Tamsin came to a halt outside the door to the cantina. Tarasynora’s eyebrows rose as the woman spoke, before her expression shifted into a slight frown.

“I took a second look at those swoop gangers lingering in the marketplace, but they didn’t seem too suspicious.” Tarasynora replied. “I don’t really feel anything unusual.” She finished, before turning towards Kaila with an expecting gaze. If any of the group had anything concrete to report regarding feelings and sensations, it would be the Sith Lady among them.

At least, she hoped.

Kaila looked over her shoulder upon sensing another presence exit the ship, informing her that Tarasynora Tarasynora was prepared to depart.

She gave the Elzeri little more than a greeting nod, though her golden eyes lingered a moment longer. Synora looked so exhausted... knowing her, the girl had been working herself half to death up until the very last minute. Most of their time together, however brief, had been spent reminding the poor thing to take a break, or asking what manner of gifts she might take an interest in, anything to make her slow down and take care of herself.

Her efforts were often politely declined, and there came a time when she realized that perhaps she'd come on too strong.

But she understood now, seeing what she had become. Who would want to stay with a sith...?

Closing her eyes, she recalled Synora's reaction to her casual use of the force, wondering if that had been the earliest sign of things to come. But like Tarasynora, she had a job to do, and it could not linger any longer. And so she turned away, hiding her frown from the world as she slid a mask over her face, and then a hood over that.

The march to the Cantina had been uneventful from that point forward, and nothing Darth Anathemous had not seen before. Violent gangs who ruled in lieu of law, hangings that likely resulted from wars between them, fear in the little faces of children and grim acceptance in the eyes of their parents, those who weren't contributing to the suffering at least.

This is what the world looks like in the absence of imperial order, she told herself.

"I think Laphisto might be here." She also felt someone else nearby, but she didn't know why it was familiar to her. "Kaila, Tara either of you got a weird feeling about this? Like deep in the pit of your stomach?"

The voice of her ever diligent apprentice dragged Anathemous back to the surface, her red visor tilting in a sidelong glance at the smaller girl.

"
I wonder what draws The Lilaste to such... unsavory locales." she intoned, voice heavily modulated.

“I took a second look at those swoop gangers lingering in the marketplace, but they didn’t seem too suspicious.” Tarasynora replied. “I don’t really feel anything unusual.”

"Hm."

"
Dutiful as ever." Kaila hummed, giving her companion a respectful dip of the chin.

She closed her eyes then, her senses outstretching across the town, aided by the many evil spirits trapped within her, unbeknownst to all present, save for her apprentice.

"
Strange..." she began, head subconsciously tilting at the chaotic energies she felt.

"
Dark, light... or something in between..."

Anathemous opened her eyes towards the door.

"
There's too many for me to tell who or what, but we're not alone."

Laphisto would have found his way into the cantina with his commander it was a quaint place though not the most savory. As he approached the bar he would order a drink a small flock of his ear as he leaned forwards. He spotted the others in the tavern his eyes flashing a teal blue as he used his force sight . Almost immediately he saw the force signature of Diarch Reign Diarch Reign an ally he had acquired some time ago. With a light rumble in his throat he soon caught the sight of Quinn Varanin Quinn Varanin and Eira Dyn Eira Dyn the dark side signatures showing themselves prominently which caused him to told his head. Remembering the last time so many force sensitive had gathered together. It ended with a sith, a slave , a rogue Padawan and a grey escaping a city

The order had to send men in after to retrieve the bodies of those fallen and to scuttle any Lilastian tech that had been left behind. With a shake of his head leaned forwards on the bar his armor clinking against the counter top while his force dead commander took a more observing position. With reign being present he had assumed the diarch might be on some mission and he didn't want to interrupt what ever that may be. But he gave the man a subtle nod tapping at the broad saber hilt on his side as if to non verbally inform the man that he had his blade if what ever he was doing here went south

Entering the Cantina, the Diarch pulled the hood of his cape down. Looking into the dimly lit room his guard remained high. He had recently made himself public enemy number one to much of the galaxy.

Taking a seat in a corner, he watched as more people slowly entered the building. Only standing when he recognized the large form of Laphisto Laphisto enter the building.

Approaching his friend and ally, he spoke softly trying to still avoid drawing attention to himself
“It’s good to see a friendly face Laph. I can’t say I’m high on the list of anyone’s favorite being right now. Why do you think we are here?”

Looking about, he waited for the person he had expected to meet, the diminutive girl with a large secret he had stumbled across on Korriban.

Laphisto was the only signature she could pinpoint inside the cantina ahead of them. Yet there were some that seemed familiar to her, but she couldn't remember for sure who they belonged to but as Kaila had pointed out there were a lot of them. Why were they here, was the bigger question. Tamsin had a theory as to why, but she hoped it was not true, the demon had called them all here for what that could be anyone's guess.

Tamsin barely understood the demon the thing that claimed the same skin she wore. It hated life, and yet every time it showed itself that she could remember it needed an audience and wanted to be noticed by the very thing it despised. Tamsin glanced at Tara and then back to Kaila, as neither of them took a step towards the Cantina to see what laid beyond its doors.

"I agree the streets…." Well, they still looked pretty violent and unwelcoming but no more than any other backwater world would look at strangers entering their territory. "Seem normal." She took one more glance over at the slave auction, to normal to her former life she thought. It seemed so long ago even though it really hadn't been.

She let out a heavy sigh. "We both know why The Lilaste is here." Tara hadn't directly experienced but Kaila had, she knew what would bring them here. It thrived on chaos; it fed on it to become stronger. It was playing some sort of game with them all. Tamsin was clearly scared as she stared at the looming door of the cantina. Once they entered, she knew the game would begin but like a carrot on stick the answers were also through those doors.

She was petrified, she didn't want to move, she wanted to go back to the ship. Yet she also wanted answers to what this planet meant to her if anything. She closed her eyes for a second, then one foot in front of the other she headed for the door.

She pushed through the door, her hand shaking as she pushed it open and stepped into the cantina Tara and Kaila right behind her which helped her calm her nerves a bit. Tara though diminutive, smaller than even Tamsin could handle herself, and Kaila was just a straight up bad ass hero in Tamsin's eyes. As they stepped through the doors the first thing, heard was a pattern yell at both Tara and Tamsin. "Hey, we don't serve kids here!" But they stopped when they saw Kaila stepped up behind them, slowly slinking back to their drinks seeing how Kaila was dressed they didn't want to mess with her.

Tamsin scanned the bar one person clearly stood out that was Laphisto Laphisto he couldn't hide in a crowd if he wanted to, he stood half up to the ceiling and wore pretty distinguishable armor. Next to him was of course his strange commander and she knew the other guy Diarch Reign Diarch Reign but from where. She thought for a moment, the races on Korriban he was in the feasting hall. For a moment she thought maybe she had been wrong, just coincidence that maybe this guy and Laphisto were here for a meeting on the same day they showed up.

Yeah that had to be it just a strange twist of fate, nothing to worry about she even saw a third man Trayze Tesar Trayze Tesar moving towards them. Clearly, it had nothing to do with them and why they were here. She continued to look around as she spoke to Kaila and Tara. "So where do we start ask….." She didn't finish her sentence, she saw Eira Dyn Eira Dyn Tamsin dark eyes went wide. She had met the assassin a friend, no lover, former lover of Kaila's? It was hard to keep up with her sisters love life.

That dread that had faded into thinking this might be coincidence washed away in an instant. No this could be explained away, she told herself, right Kaila called her here maybe. "Did you call Eira to meet us here?" Yeah, that had to be it extra back up, right? Tara was here with them after all, maybe none of Kaila's break ups hadn't ended badly? It wasn't like her master would tell her until they both had a knife at their throat if they had. The two really needed to work on their communication skills, cause even Tamsin had been keeping things from her master and it seemed to lead them both down a road of trouble together.

All of this could easily be explained but when Tamsin saw the woman Eira was talking to she knew deep down this was not something that could be explained away so easily. Catching just a glimpse of Quinn Varanin Quinn Varanin the Princess she had met on Echnos. She could explain away all of them except her, she knew in a way that Kaila had a thing for the Princess, but it would be a big ask of even Kaila to have the Princess here.

There was no coincidence they had all been summoned here by the omen Tamsin was. Her heart just sank to the floor, as she felt a little chuckle rise in the back of her skull. All flies stuck in the spiders web. "uh…um…I..uh" She was trying to spurt out some semblance of a comment but she had nothing, she didn't know what to say. Fear, petrification, and pure dread made her pale skin go dead white.

"Let the game begin!"

Trayze found himself caught, awkwardly so. Why couldn't these "clear calls of destiny" forewarn him, approaching the clearly nervous young girl and her no doubt agitated armored figure that was her escort would no doubt lead to a shootout. Not that Sith wouldn't start a brawl over anything less, but Trayze began to notice a few prominent names... a Grandmaster of some mercenary Force User, someone not quite a Jedi... and Quinn Varanin Quinn Varanin .

Well well well, this might explain a few things. But for now, Trayze needed to disarm any suspicion the party may have, and do it quickly. So he did, in subtle ways, his presence in the Force flared, coiling and controlling itself like haze on a pavement, it served as invisible indicator even more hidden than the best trained assassins' microexpressions. Except for the other two Force Users, in which case it was like dropping a firecracker in the bathroom stall - both noisy and rude. Problem for rapidly approaching future Trayze.

"Hey, table's ready." he ventured, his presence in the Force attempting to convey him as a fellow Sith, sans lightsaber, and sans any other indicators. He motioned to them, as the barest touches of telepathy would be sprinkled before the minds eye of the women entering in. Friend. No hurt. Many bigly Forces userses. His tone was clipped, like typing an essay on a touchscreen with a feather-tip, Trayze tried desperately to be as delicate as possible, and move the party away from Quinn. From what he had heard about the Princess, she was trouble - or rather a magnet to trouble. Being the highest ranking member of the Empire in the room, she no doubt knew more than she let on.

In his defense, he didn't know there was going to be a party - if he had, he'd host a venue that was far less sandy, and less prying neutral Force users peering in.

"I suppose we do. The Will weaves it's web in strange ways, and even the greys go unspared." Kaila sighed.

Entering the cantina thereafter was an utter invasion of the young Darth's senses, ranging from the shouting of rowdy swoop gangers speaking huttese over loud music to the unmistakable weight of dark powers hiding in their midst. What she wouldn't do to return home where it was quiet enough to read and sip tea in from a duraporcelain cup.

"Hey, we don't serve kids here!"

She shot the bartender a deadly glare even through her mask, almost more frustrated by the attack of stimuli than she was at his words, although having processed them, she wasn't a fan of him calling her apprentice a child at all. Even if she was quite short...

Thankfully, for him, the man relented easily.

Even cloaked, Darth Anathemous had the look of an enigmatic bounty hunter at best, and a dark spirit or ill omen at worst. Was it any wonder he'd given up?

She appeared to glide across the floor more so than march as the group approached the counter, silken cloak dragging behind deceptively graceful steps, though the armor and weaponry beneath rattled in warning to any lowlife who dared to interfere with the mysterious trio and their quest.

Though it seemed they were not the only ones.

"Did you call Eira to meet us here?"

"Eira...?" she whispered.

"
...she would not come if I asked, she never did."

A troubling new variable indeed. With how they parted, Anathemous could not rule out that Eira had since become the enemy, nor that the acolyte was reasonable enough to set their differences aside despite the young Darth's harsh words when last they spoke. Nor the third possibility, that Eira would once again lie or even betray her.

That was she realized just how far the spirit's influence had spread through their lives, and her apprentice was not handling it well.

"uh…um…I..uh" She was trying to spurt

She laid a gentle, gloved hand on her shoulder, leaning down to speak quietly to her.

"
Breathe, Tamsin. I feel it too, but we're almost rid of her."

Soon the spirit would reveal itself, and the two force walkers could finally finish what had started on Tatooine.

She gave the girl's shoulder a gentle squeeze as she passed, taking a deep breath herself as she approached the bar, steeling herself to speak with Eira again after all this time. Yet it would not be the acolyte with whom the force wished her to speak, but another who's fate she could not bring herself to risk again.

"
Quinn...?" she stopped in her tracks, her voice losing much of it's electronic edge.

"
Is that you...?"

Quinn's gaze followed Trayzen as he moved about the cantina. It felt like he was trying to avoid her. She watched him from over the rim of her glass as she sipped the poorly made drink. Remembering her apprentice scolding her, Quinn shook the glass slightly towards the younger woman and smirked. "True, but I also have this drink for free, and he doesn't remember anything." The Princess mused over this little plan, though she was a bit frustrated with Trayze, but she'll deal with him later.

Before she could continue discussing the finer points of mind tricks and how it's okay to do so to receive free drinks at a backwater bar - she was interrupted by the shouting. Quinn took another sip of her drink and looked towards the door to see who was causing the commotion. It was a small group; most of Quinn didn't recognize from an initial glance the group that had entered. Because of that, she focused on finishing the drink; being in the bar seemed to appease whatever was poking at her mind. Something pulled at her to look back to the group, and that's when she recognized the taller figure of the trio.

The taller figure also recognized her. Quinn smirked and slipped from the bar top. A hand waved to Eira, unaware of the history between the two women she would introduce. Seeing the Governor of Echnos on this little adventure was a pleasant surprise. It would be a lie if she said she didn't miss the woman. Kaila was her hero. Quinn mused as she finished crossing the cantina to meet the group. "It is," She answered Kaila with a wink, "How's my dear Governor doing?" Looking at the rest of the group, seeing that they were with Kaila, she introduced herself, "Hello, I'm Quinn Varanin, Princess of Eshan, and this is my apprentice, Eira Dyn. She's one of my students at the Jutrand Academy."

Pausing, she looked back to Kaila, "Oh, Kaila - my apprentice, Eira, come here." Quinn waved for the acolyte to make her way over so she could introduce her to the Darth. "Yes, Kaila," Quinn motioned to Kaila and then motioned to Eira, "Eira, Kaila fights pretty similar to you - I think you should come with me when I visit Echnos and see if you could get some melee combat lessons." Quinn smiled and hoped this would open a great avenue for Eira's training. Kaila covered a part of Quinn's skill set that was lacking.

"What brings you guys here?"

The mind trick approach was something that Eira had not considered for a free drink but she usually enjoyed controlling a situation or person with her words or actions. It was how she felt comfortable with life and how she enjoyed her encounters with many people. It was also the reason things with Kaila had not worked out, she demanded too much of the power and apparently someone else was more giving. The thoughts always left a bitter taste in her mouth and Eira decided to let her thoughts move on from such thinking.

However, it seemed the Force was out to actively curse her. Since a group entered the bar and who was in that group but Kaila. Hanging her head, she knew that this day would be fast approaching. From the reports on Susevfi, it was very clear how close Quinn and Kaila were, likely closer than Eira admittedly would be comfortable with towards someone that people might consider her ex. She breathed out slowly and prayed that they were not going to be here to help them. But once again, the Force seemed to be doing the exact opposite of her desires. "I don't want to be super rich and rule the Sith Order." Eira jokingly whispered to herself, thinking that if she ushered that thought out it might be twisted into what she actually wanted.

Rising from her seat, she followed her Master over to Kaila. "Hello again Kaila. I hope things on Echnos turned out okay, I heard of your rebellion against the Kainite." Eira mentioned, demonstrating she was still keeping tabs on her former flame. "Master..." She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose since this was more awkward than she would like it to be. Why couldn't she find someone to train who wasn't linked to her former romantic partner? Was she truly cursed as a person?

At this point, Eira decided there was no point in hiding things. "Kaila is the woman I allowed in and burned me." Eira admitted, hating herself, the situation and just life in general. "So, might be best that we avoid training." Eira stated bluntly, unsure if her heartache would ever fade but knowing that right now it was still too much. Especially since she knew Kaila was moving forward in her life and apparently shacking up with her Master which was disastrous, and even more awkward since Eira had been trying to seduce Quinn.

What had she done to make the Force hate her so much?

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
It’s good to see a friendly face Laph. I can’t say I’m high on the list of anyone’s favorite being right now. Why do you think we are here?

Laphisto perked up, his gaze shifting toward Diarch Reign Diarch Reign as the man approached. Offering a small nod, he chuckled and took a sip from the glass in his hand. "After your declaration, I wouldn't expect anything less. Apologies for missing the celebration—I had other matters to attend to. It's no easy task securing parts large enough to move a relic out of an asteroid belt."

He chuckled again, leaning back in his seat at the bar, his thoughts preoccupied with why they were all gathered here. His musings were interrupted when the bartender shouted about not serving kids. The commotion drew his attention, and his eyes darted toward the door. There, he spotted Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves , accompanied by Tarasynora Tarasynora and another familiar face Kaila Irons Kaila Irons .

"If I had to guess," he murmured, his gaze resting on Tamsin, "I'd say it has something to do with her."

His eyes glimmered with a brief teal-blue hue as the Force rippled through them, allowing him to sense the energy of those accompanying her. The pale-skinned blonde was unfamiliar, but Kaila was a face he recognized—from Tatooine and the arena games before that. It struck him as odd how their paths kept crossing, though never under ideal circumstances. This time, however, something about her felt... off. Her Force signature was faint, translucent, almost erratic—a far cry from the last time they'd met.

Laphisto considered speaking up to greet them, but the tension in the air stilled him. Kaila abruptly stopped in her tracks, addressing the Sith seated to his left. From their earlier conversation, Laphisto had gathered they were a master and apprentice. His gaze shifted to the pair Quinn Varanin Quinn Varanin and Eira Dyn Eira Dyn though he also caught sight of Trayze Tesar Trayze Tesar in the room, raising a brow at yet another Force-sensitive presence. Including himself and Reign, that made seven in total.

"So many Force-sensitives in one place," he muttered, unease settling over him. "This never bodes well for anyone."

Turning toward Reign, he gave a small nod. "Keep an eye out, old friend. I've got a bad feeling about this."

As the group began to reunite, Laphisto glanced away, his tone lowering to a near whisper. "Best to stay on guard."
