- Sleg: A powerful energy enhancer, the sleg absorbs and channels the excessive heat generated by the chassis of the speeder. Making them maintain a stronger level of power but also increases the chances that they could explode from the heat.
- Built in power source: Designed with its own internal power source that is long lasting but it is largely able to power the armor and systems of the vehicle but when damaged it is highly explosive.
- Gravity: The advanced thrusters of the vehicle require gravity to function at full efficiency. Without it there can't counter gravity to get speed or thrust for the high speed movement.
- Self Repairing: Built with a protective layer to patch the vehicle in the event of damage. The time table is dependent upon the amount of damage with smaller tears being easier and faster to repair then gashes which can take hours to reform.
- Note: Only the layer can repair not the full plate armor itself the plating can be damaged still but the underlayer of Laminanium can reform and remain.
Made by Saotome for their ships, a rapid means of deploying soldiers, rangers or even jedi and equipment to the field instead of needing to risk drop ships. The benefits of it can be just as high as the drawbacks such as not having a means to really evacuate once deployed on the planet. The pods need to be retrieved and returned with carriers and crews or are just left where they fall and impact the ground. The anti grav chute deploys when it clears the programmed selevation to slow down its descent and land with less impact. THe kinetic gel used in most escape pods can absorb a high level of impact when it strikes but there is always the risk of the ground itself and what there might be in the area. Overall the pods use on ships and being able to be deployed depends on who wants to use them and the method thy are being sent out. Either from bilge (underside) launchers or from side mounted pressor cannons.
With the work that has been done on overhauling Sasori products the drop pods received their own brand of love... and care. Redesigning the internal configurations to allow for a single person still but it has the ability to be deployed and recoverd while functioning as a small base of operations albiet uncomfortable in many cases. With communications, medical and advanced power systems the engineers have set it up as the new standard in base models that they would be able to use to improve the stealth, deployment and even heavy pods for use in greater combat situations and needs.
