Technology wise they developed the control platforms to allow organic fighters to lead droid units in environments that would be considered dangerous to them. Such as regions like the rozzums universe or unstable worlds. THe distance enhanced through the use of relays and with their entanglement biots they are able to have minimal delay. The system itself is fairly basic in most regards and allows the engineers at Sasori much the same as it doesn't have to be for combat purposes but exploration or analysis using monitoring droids that might not need to return from their missions in deep space or even daangerous spacial regions like the maw. With the ability for it to be set up on any ship or in facilities even starfighters or speeders that have basic combat droids the pilot can deploy.
