STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Survivalism/Herbalism - Living within the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk, Scàth has spent his entire life hunting the predators of the jungle and living from the bounty of the land. Additionally, his tribe have utilised the herbs within the Shadowlands in their rites and ceremonies for eons and as such, he is adept at identifying the nature of flora and it’s uses within a jungle ecosystem.

Beast affinity- Living within the Shadowland, Scàth has lived alongside all manner of creatures and has only survived by learning to recognise and mimic the various means they communicate and divine their intent, whether through body language or vocalisation.

Primitive living- Having lived on Kashyyyk his whole life, his views upon the galaxy are seen through the tribalism he is familiar with. Governors, senators and the like are viewed as chieftains and the rule of society is to be loyal to ones tribe, unforgiving against ones prey and to venerate the spirits of the beyond. Many social conventions are beyond him.

Primitive living II- Additionally, everything that Scàth owns and uses is a gift from the spirits that he has gathered from his environment. Any technological skill is beyond him outside of rudimentary skills to open doors and the like.

APPEARANCE:
Scàth appears similiarly to most Sayormi( although many have suggested more than a little human dilution has occurred within the tribe.) He is tall and lean, having only what he is able to hunt and grow for sustenance.

His skin tone is extremely pale as Kashyyyk’s sunlight is unable to reach the depths of the Shadowlands, the majority of his scalp, torso and limbs are covered in various tattoos and scars from rituals and glyphs to venerate the spirits of the jungle.

For clothing, he is usually garbed in various pelts and homemade cloaks and Shawls from the beasts he has skinned and threaded with their claws and fangs. Many charms and fetishes from the same beasts hand from his body and pierce his skin, made from particularly important trophies he has retained from hunts.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born to the tribe of Sayormi within the Kkowir forest, Scàths people have venerated the primal spirits of Kashyyyk for eons, seeing the nature cycle of birth, death and rebirth played out endlessly around them. Instead of the Wookies, who clambered up the Wroshyr trees away from the dangers of the surface and turned away from the purity of nature, the Sayormi have thrived in the gifts of the spirits, learning to hunt and control the beasts of the forest and to commune with the jungle spirits.

Traditionally the males of the tribe are the hunters and warriors of the people and it was no less true for Scàth, who took place in many hunts both against the beasts of Kashyyyk and the Wookiee above. It was during such a hunt that the spirits revealed their intent for Scàth.

The tribe were celebrating a successful hunt, they had brought down an extremely rare Albino Wyyyschokk spider and many Wookiee’s had been captured for sacrifice to the spirits and the Sayormi were in high spirits. As the embers of the fires burnt and the last of the sacrifices expired, the greatest darkness from the forest emerged.

A terentatek.

Known to hunt those chosen by the spirits, the tribes warriors went to stop the beast before it made it to the women of the tribe and Scàth was no different. The Terentatek attacked only once every half century and would ignore nearly all threats in their desire to reach their prey and as such, the men hoped they would be able to keep it hemmed in while the women escaped. But they were wrong.

Ignoring the trials the women took, the beast immediately charged the tribes warband and began to eviscerate the warriors, those not torn apart by the claws died screaming from the venom that infected their wounds. As the party scattered in the manner of a pack of wolves, hoping to surround and nip at the behemoth, it became clear who it had come for.

Every direction Scàth moved in, the beast followed and pursued and he did everything he could to lead it away from his tribe as spears continued to rain down. Finally, with a feral roar, it was felled. But it’s slaughter had been complete.

Every warrior in the tribe had been felled by claw or by poison and it was only the women left. While any tribe would welcome the sages and shamans that the women were, no tribe would take the burden of a male, regardless of how stout his spear arm. They left him alone to ponder his connection to the spirits, unheard of in the stories of the tribes. And there he has remained, in isolation within the Shadowlands, hoping to continue to learn of the path they had for him to walk.
