- Strength Suit: As the Shades' Enforcer Suit, the SC-2d Praetor enhances its wearers' strength tenfold, allowing them to perform actions they would otherwise be incapable of doing, no matter their species. It also grants them superb physical defenses at the cost of increased weight, protecting them against most forms of kinetic and energy weaponry along with landscape elements such as ice, lava, and so on.
- Hands-Free Weapons: The innovative Hands-Free Weapon System channeled through back-mounted arms allows those wearing the SC-2d Praetor to control multiple weapons at once - entirely hands-free or partially hands-free. From massive blaster cannons [pictured above] to mounted shoulder blasters to even sniper rifles and blaster rifles, the Praetor suit is essentially a walking armory.
- Lightsaber Vulnerabilities: As with most armors in the galaxy, the Praetor is vulnerable to the universally dangerous Lightsabers. The risks of this weapon are actually greater than usual, as it can be quite common for the wearers of this armor class to assume they can overpower a Force User due to the enhancements. While this may be true, no amount of bodily strength can resist the cutting power of a Lightsaber.
- Other Damages: Additionally, it lacks protection against EMP/ION and Sonic weaponry which can heavily damage its internal systems and the wearer's equilibrium.
- Weight: Due to the thickness of the plating and the number of enhancements implanted in the armor set, the SC-2d Praetor is incredibly heavy and can put strain on the soldiers even with the granted strength. It also makes them incapable of performing the same acrobatic moves as the other armor sets do.
With the creation of the Shades of Stygan during the onset of the Warlords of the Sith's crusade upon Malachor V, Kascalion required an initial armor set for these elite warriors that could serve them dutifully until later models could be created - of which three more have been. Utilizing a basic, rushed construction out of duraplast and durasteel layered over a leather underarmor and a mesh underlay, the Devil found that the Darkclad was much too simplistic for the elite soldiers under his command.
Thus came the third addition to the SC-2 series. Befitting those with a knack for strength and weapon dominance, the SC-2d is the perfect go-to as it offers enhancements to their already present abilities to dominate the battlefield with muscle and blaster. Wearer's of this armor set have expressed great joy in their off-the-charts increases in physical durability and strength in the field.
Similar to the others of its kind, the SC-2d Praetor's aesthetics are strange and perhaps worrying to a first-time viewer. It does not follow many modern forms of style and appears to be much more sadistic and savage than the wearers themselves, although its functionality is on-par with armor classes of comparable purpose.
