Ilsa Voll
Kampfpanzer Kommandant
Intent: To create an engine capable of powering light tanks and some medium tanks for Eisenwelt Eisenwerke.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Eisenwelt Eisenwerke
Model: Schramm hQ100
Affiliation: Eisenwelt
Modularity: Can be fitted with extra power cells for extended performance.
Production: Mass
Material: Alusteel, durasteel, and other engine components.
Weight: 800kg
Description:
Initially designed by an Eisenwelten engineer under Eisenwelt Eisenwerke employment, the company purchased the design almost immediately after it appeared. Named after the engineer that designed it, the Schramm hohe Qualität 100 engine was created to power light tanks, and potentially a few medium tank designs, in the Eisenwelten military and for those produced by the company. The engine is lighter than most engines sold by other Eisenwelten companies currently, but has slightly better output, making it ideal for the role it was intended for. The engine can easily power all of a light tank's needs without overloading or stalling out. The design is a power cell based construction, and runs off of most standard vehicle sized power cells.
The only few downsides to the engine is that it isn't mechanically reliable and, over prolonged use, can occasionally break down. It also requires constant maintenance and should be replaced once every two years of extended use, once every five years with normal/minimal use. Lastly, though it can potentially be placed on medium tanks, a noticeable lack of power is noticed in speed and acceleration, though weapons and equipment work normally.
