STRENGTHS

Full Auto: Fires at fully automatic, ensuring the best chance of hitting Multiple targets

Low Power: Can be fired for only 25 percent of the power normally required to fire point defense systems of this sort on a Star Destroyer

Accurized: Think of it as an automatic sniping cannon with frightening precision

Predictor: On board targeting protocols give it an immense shot at figuring out the path a Starfighter will take to evade it.

Multi-Purpose: Equally good for shooting down organic based as well as Conventional starfighters

WEAKNESSES

Weak: Don't expect it's damage to be all that impressive. Why do you think it relies on full Auto sniping?

Range: Does not have much range beyond the immediate combat radius around the Star Destroyer, and that depends on where it is placed

Missile tracking: Slightly less success at shooting down Missiles than Starfighters, leaving it more vulnerable in this area

Disalignment: If it's Piezo-Electric Crystals are damaged, it's firing rate and damage drop to very low

Burst: Best fired in bursts, as continuous full auto will quickly throw it's aim off.

The Automated Point Defense System is Scion's answer to the problem of both starfighters and Missiles that got past all the other forms of screening. Uncannily Accurate at Predicting Starfighter movements, it's low power requirements mean it can be fired on the cheap as well.
