STRENGTHS

Agile - The Scout Support Platform was designed from the foundation of a basic speeder bike utilizing lightweight materials to maintain its overall speed and maneuverability to ensure that it can enter an engagement and retire just as quickly.

Laser Scanner - Located on the underside of the vehicle just forward of the weapon emplacements are two forward-facing terrain scanners. These scanners allow the vehicle to detect the presence of enemies as well as collect data while on reconnaissance missions.

Turbofan - The Scout Support Platform is equipped with a powerful Turbofan that when utilized in conjunction with its KD57 Repulsorlift Engine allows the vehicle to easily traverse many types of terrain such as water, sand, and snow, whilst also providing increased speeds and accelerations to produce a highly maneuverable vehicle.

WEAKNESSES

Minimal Defenses - The Scout Support Platform was designed to emphasize speed and maneuverability resulting in a lack of heavier defenses. Though capable of withstanding limited small arms fire and light vehicle armaments, it is incapable of withstanding sustained strikes from heavier weapons or anti-vehicle ordnance.

Exposed Pilots - Both pilots are located in individual seats on either side of the main Repulsorlift engine and are exposed making for easily accessible and tantalizing targets.

Crew Operation - The Scout Support Platform is incapable of being operated by a singular individual and thus requires both pilots to operate effectively. Removal of a single pilot can cause the vehicle to become inoperable and effectively render it dead in the water.

DESCRIPTION

The Galactic Alliance finds itself surrounded by enemies and facing conflict on three fronts with the Dark Empire, the Sith Order, and the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders each striking at the Alliance. Among the greatest assets that the Galactic Alliance has are its scouts, chief among them, the Pathfinders. The Scout Support Platform was designed to provide these reconnaissance elements with a lightweight, agile, and highly maneuverable vehicle that could be dropped along with scouting parties behind enemy lines to wreak havoc and collect intel. Aether Systems designed and developed the Scout Support Platform from the basic foundation of a speeder bike; with its specialized KD57 Repulsorlift Engine and a Turbofan, the vehicle is capable of traversing many different types of terrain at higher speeds whilst still retaining its maneuverability. To maintain the vehicle's speed and maneuverability, it sacrificed heavier armor plating and additional defensive measures, and though it is capable of withstanding small arms fire and light vehicle armaments, it is otherwise incapable of withstanding strikes from heavier vehicle armaments or heavier ordnance. This lack of additional armor or an enclosed cockpit means that the pilots are also exposed, and the loss of a single pilot can often render the vehicle inoperable. However, its light weight and agility often outweigh its drawbacks, as its speed is often enough to ensure the protection of the pilots and the vehicle itself. Furthermore, the Scout Support Platform was designed with two debris shields located in front of each pilot which protect the pilots from terrain hazards that the vehicle might encounter. Located beneath its main weapon systems just forward of the vehicle are two laser scanners that are utilized in scouting and reconnaissance operations to detect the presence of enemies. As the terrain of battlefields continues to shift, the need for such an agile and easily maneuverable vehicle has become paramount, and the first Scout Support Platforms have already begun to find their way into the hands of the Galactic Alliance.
