"You Didn't Get It From Us."
SPECIAL FEATURES
Sonic overrides are a common form of security countermeasure, designed to overload security and communication systems with ultrasonic sound waves. The Screamer is OutlawTech's take on the classic device, using an ultrasonic scrambler that works on most electronic security devices, including cameras, magnetic locks, and even short-range comms. Since the Screamer works on soundwaves it doesn't need a physical uplink to disable a device, it just needs to be within a few meters of the target. It also works around corners or through thin walls and doors while ignoring security like firewalls since it physically attacks any reciever device in range.
At the same time, this means the Screamer is the slicing equivalent of throwing a brick through the window, it makes an audble sound, systems will very clearly go haywire around it, and it won't prevent error warnings or malfunction alarms from going out. It also can't be used to hack or control systems, it simply takes down every basic security measure within a few meters, and it also doesn't discriminate in targets, hitting eveb friendly devices while being unable to impact large-scale systems, phyiscal barriers, or good old-fashioned guard power.
- Uses ultrasonic sound waves to disable security systems in a set area.
- Scanner-resistant Neuranium casing and portable size make it easy to conceal.
- Universal Scrambler: The biggest benefit of the Screamer is that its ultrasonic emissions effect a wide range of devices with little regard for things like system complexity or firewalls.
- Reach Out: The Screamer doesn't need to physically connect to a security device, and the hypersonic sound waves can pass around corners or through thin doors and walls.
- Portable Problem-Causer: Thanks to its special Neuranium casing the Screamer is essentially invisible to most security scanners even when turned off and its slim, pocket-safe size makes it easy to hide.
- Indiscriminate Scrambler: The Screamer device effects everything in its range with no regard for subtlety or friendly technology, making it easy to tell when its being used and prone to backfiring if the user isn't careful.
- Sonic Brick: The Screamer can only be used to disable small security devices, it can't hack them or make repairs, and it doesn't stop error messages or alarms caused by the system failures it creates.
- Making Noise: The Screamer only works on electronic systems like cameras, it doesn't impact physical security like manual locks, barriers, or guards wielding blasters.
