  • Screaming Feedback Lattice: When struck, whether by melee, blaster, or starship-scale fire, the plating emits an intense, psychic scream through the Force, triggering stun or disorientation effects aboard enemy crews or nearby attackers within spiritual range.
  • Echo-Pulse Distortion: In ship-to-ship combat, direct hits against the plating send residual spiritual shockwaves through enemy vessel hulls, triggering minor system flickers, targeting lag, or nausea among organic crew, especially Force-sensitives.
  • Emotion-Responsive Wailing: The intensity and resonance of the scream increase based on the emotional volatility of the attack (Ex.A frenzied assault triggers a more violent psychic burst).
  • Localized Shock Recoil (Optional): Ground-based armor or hull panel variants may include minor rebuffers to break grapples or stagger boarding parties on impact.
  • Shadow Mind Feedback Sync: When paired with the Shadow Mind Integration Node, the plating can isolate friendly crew from its effects while amplifying return feedback toward linked enemy vessels or Force-based systems.

  • Psychic Disruption (Space-Adapted): Upon impact, enemy gunnery crews, targeting officers, or Force-sensitive navigators experience momentary flashes of dread or distraction, causing brief drops in accuracy or sync during precision fire sequences.
  • Fear Induction: Repeated contact with the plating can wear down morale over time, particularly for squadrons or boarding units, who report subconscious aversion to continued engagement.
  • Starfighter Suppression: Fast-moving or tightly coordinated starfighters attacking ships coated in Screaming Void Plating may experience pilot disorientation, targeting flicker, or even crash if multiple units are struck by echo pulses in formation.
  • Modular Layering: Compatible with other Sith armor materials (such as Bloodwrought Plating or Void Plating), forming a fearsome composite shell both physically durable and spiritually aggressive.

  • Limited Proximity Effectiveness: The psychic scream's disorienting effects diminish rapidly with distance. Capital ship cannons or artillery fire from long range will not suffer any effect.
  • Void Nullification: The scream is completely silenced in Force-dead zones or around Voidstone/ysalamiri fields. No spiritual or echo-based function can activate under these conditions.

The Screaming Void Plating is more than a material, it's a psychic weapon layered onto starship hulls and Sith armor like a second, shrieking skin. Designed by the Shadow Mind Division under the command of Darth Prazutis, this overlay responds to trauma not by yielding...but by screaming. Every blow, every round, every saber strike becomes a chorus of agony, a spiritual rebuke that claws into the minds of those who dare to strike it.

The plating's core is its screaming resin, an alchemical compound chemically sensitive to emotional violence. When impacted, the resin flares through Void-Tethered Foci, resonating with Sith Blackstone Shards embedded across the surface. The result? A psychic howl ripples outward, audible only through the Force. In space, this doesn't mean sound, it means presence. And presence bleeds.

Enemy gunnery crews strike true, only to feel sick, distracted, or shaken mid-volley. Starfighter formations that dance too close suffer sudden vertigo, momentary loss of cohesion. Jedi aboard enemy ships find themselves besieged by sudden fear or emotional spikes as they detect an overwhelming, hateful cry with every hit their ship deals. It is the ultimate Sith deterrent: make the enemy fear every successful blow.

On the ground, it is equally devastating. In close combat, armored Sith units wearing the plating cause their enemies to falter mid-swing, break lines, or scream back in involuntary echo. It is not merely defense, it is psychological offense woven into steel. Screaming Void Plating has become an icon of Kainate design: armor that punishes. A hull that screams.

It is dread given voice.
