STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Scyler's strengths mostly come from his genetic abilities. Advanced speed, heightened senses, super strength, and agility. He also has a high rate of regeneration, allowing himself to heal faster than most. Reading and controlling the unclosed mind is also an ability Scyler has developed. He can also be charming, and seductive, when he choses to be.

Scyler's weaknesses unfortunately also come from his genetics as well. Being a hybrid species comes with it's advantages and disadvantages. Without feeding off the energy from his victims regularly, Scyler will slowly lose his strength and connection to the Force. Also, the older he gets, the more unstable he becomes. Despite his many strengths, he can be subdued through multiple ways. Obvious ways include decapitation or removal of his heart, which would kill him instantly. Other ways include snapping his neck, rendering him unconscious for several hours until he regenerates. Starving him of energy from others will weaken him, though it's a slow and drawn out process. He is also susceptible to many Force powers, as well as cocky, self confident, and brash.

SHIP: Scyler flys around in style in a classic ten passenger light freighter. It sports a cockpit, a communications center, a main hold where transmissions come across and planning happens and an occasional movie, turret access to climb up into the turret, an engineering room, a smuggler's dream cargo hold featuring multiple hidden compartments, a garage for a pair of swoop bikes, a port dormitory and starboard dormitory, a storage compartment, a small but stocked mess hall, three freshers, and an exit ramp.

BIOGRAPHY:
Sent on a diplomatic mission to Ord Mantell, then Jedi Knight Oorvak bumped into Scyler in the business district of Worlport attempting to steal food. In compassion of the child, Knight Oorvak bought the child food, and invited him to eat with him back at his ship. Knight Oorvak had been pressured by his Master to take on an apprentice, but Oorvak never felt a connection to any of the trainees on Coruscant. However, upon meeting Scyler, he believed he had found one who could be trained by himself. He could sense the strong presence of the Force in Scyler, and upon discussing apprenticeship, Scyler, knowing he had nothing else better going for him, decided to accept the Jedi's terms.

En route to Coruscant to introduce Scyler to the Council, Knight Oorvak and Scyler began to form a bond between Master and Padawan. However, Oorvak was in for a surprise when he introduced Scyler to the Jedi Council. Upon examination, the Jedi Council informed Knight Oorvak that the padawan he had chosen was an Energy Vampire/Anzat hybrid. Though he looked to be a child, he was possibly older than many of the Jedi. They also warned him of the call of the darkside once Scyler's 'puberty' years began. Oorvak promised to be take great care and invest a lot of time with his new pupil to instruct him in the Lightside and to resist the darkside calling in his life.

Knight Oorvak had a long talk with his new padawan, and informing him that he was different was no shock to Scyler. Scyler knew he was different, as he lived for over fifty years, and he didn't seem to grow as others did. He assumed either something was wrong with him, or he was not human. Scyler shared his history with his new master. His earliest memories were of being with a family, an adopted son to help out farming with his new family. His brother grew older and moved out to get their own families, his parents retired, and Scyler, still being a child, knew he no longer belonged with this family. So he ran away to the capital city of Worlport, stealing and living from shelter to lean-to, where Knight Oorvak found him.

Knight Oorvak decided to keep Scyler's true nature from himself, deciding to cross that bridge when he got to it, which came sooner than he'd like. Scyler began to have these urges he didn't understand. Heightened by being around those who were strong in the Force, his second nature took hold of him. While accompanying his master on a mission, Scyler had given in to these urges, and he used his mind control to lure an unsuspecting Twi'lek to a place where they could be alone. She was very flirtatious, and knowing he shouldn't, he was giving into his basic desires. Though, one thing led to another, and the next thing he knew, these strange odd tentacle like probes were protruding from his cheeks, and he was absorbing the Twi'lek's very own life force. When he was done with that, his upper canines extended and he bit into the Twi'lek's neck, absorbing the rest of her energy through her blood. The thrill and pleasure of it overtook Scyler, and he forgot himself. Not being able to stop himself, he accidentally killed the young Twi'lek.

Sensing something amiss, Master Oorvak was able to locate his padawan through the Force, and found him brooding, walking alone down an empty night street. His master had tried to warn him of such things, but Scyler never knew what he was talking about, but now he did. Even through all the guilt, he still felt stronger than he ever had. He was rejuvenated, and his powers had increased. It was glorious! Master Oorvak tried to calm his padawan down, but Scyler just felt like he was holding him back. Scyler drew his lightsaber, and he and his master's blades clashed on the empty streets. Master Oorvak came out the victor, after using the Force to slam Scyler into a large duracrete container, knocking him out cold.

Years had past since the incident, and Master Oorvak and Scyler told no one. Whether they were wrong or right, they didn't care. They helped each other cover up the story. Scyler seemed to be getting in control of his urges. The lightside soothed him every time he felt the hunger. However, he never forgot the excitement and strength he felt upon his first feeding.

Master Oorvak had been his master for so long; however, because of the unnaturally long life span of an Energy Vampire and Anzat hybrid, his master died of old age, peacefully in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Scyler spent a couple years alone, masterless, until another master became interested in him. No one seemed to want to take on the responsibilities of another padawan, until Master Ginn came along. He was middle aged, and Scyler had never trained with or even less talked to Master Ginn. However, Master Ginn's padawan had moved on to Knight status, and Master Ginn felt he still had it in him to train another, this case being his most difficult ever.

It took a while to form that bond between master and padawan, especially as Scyler still missed his old Master that had been there for him through everything. They had been through so much. But as time went on, Master Ginn felt it was time to tell Scyler that Master Oorvak, before he died, had asked himself personally to accept his padawan as his own after he passed. Scyler accepted this, and began his tutelage under Master Ginn. His new master was much different in comparison with Master Oorvak. His former master had specialized in lightsaber techniques, teaching Scyler over the years many different forms until he was proficient at each. Master Ginn on the other hand, specialized in knowledge in the Force. He taught Scyler many things, how to meditate on the Force, increase his strength in the Force, how to use it against your enemies to deter them from battle, or use it for your allies to strengthen them. He taught him how to use it to affect the things around him, allowing him to use it to move things with his mind. He taught him how to use the Force to push or pull items. Also, even though Scyler already had incredible regenerative properties, he could use the Force to even speed the healing up, allowing Scyler to heal himself from a serious injury in a matter of minutes. One of the last things Master Ginn taught Scyler was to use the Force to freeze your opponent solid. This was advanced stuff, however, before he could finish learning, another accident happened.

His master had been out on a mission, which Scyler was not allowed. Frustrated, he began to spare with training lightsabers against another Jedi. She was very pleasant to look at, and even a better person inside. The two had spent the day together, and for once, Scyler found himself simply forgetting and letting go. However, letting go required him to let his guard down. Scyler's base instincts began to overcome him, and not knowing what Scyler was, she was easily entranced to his mind powers. His proboscises extended and he began to feed on the young Jedi. However, this time, He was able to stop himself before he bit into her and completely lost control. It took every ounce of will and determination to stop. Years of training with Master Oorvak had helped, he believed. He was able to pull away before he killed the her. Before he left, he used the Force to make her forget was had just happened. This was easily done as he had fed on her very connection to the Force, extremely strengthening himself over her weakened state in the Force. He fled the scene, and others had discovered the girl alone in a training room.

The young padawan recovered, and was doing just fine, not remembering anything, and things seemed to be getting more normal, until Scyler received a message to meet with the Jedi Council. He had never been before the Council without his master before, and he feared the worst. They knew about the attack. He had a mind to flee, but before he could act, a Jedi Master arrived to excort him to the Council.

A thousand thoughts ran through his mind. Could he overpower the Jedi Master? Could he make a run for it? Nothing he could come up with played out right in his mind. He was finished. It seemed to take a year to get to the Council chambers, when in reality it was only a matter of minutes. Palms sweaty, he was ushered into the Council. It was odd being here, without his master. Everything looked different, smelled different, and even felt different. Then the news came, but it was not what he thought it was going to be. Master Ginn had died during his mission for the Jedi Council. They wished to tell Scyler in person. Knowing how many padawans fly off the handle after their master dies, they had sent a Jedi Master to escort him.

The days that ensued were a blur. Jedi he didn't even know but knew Master Ginn stopped by to say their apologies. Scyler was lost. He had outlived two of his masters, and was still a padawan. Such was the ways of his species. Long life, a blessing, a curse. He spent those days adding up the years spent with his masters. Master Oorvak had trained him for 63 years before dying of old age, and Master Ginn was old himself, training Scyler for an additional 48 years. If the Council could have been believed when he first was accepted as a Jedi, this would put him at age 163, and still a young Energy Vampire/Anzat. This probably also qualified him for one of the longest serving Jedi Padawans in the service of the Jedi. Not knowing what his fate had in store for him, he spent the next few years training with his lightsaber as Oorvak instructed, and his command of the Force as Ginn had instructed, wondering what came next for him.

Upon saving up his credits, and mind controlling a Jedi surgeon, he convinced him to secretly operate on him to remove his proboscises, believing that the removal of such would lessen his desires to harm others. Not too long after this event, Scyler had become trained by a young Jedi Knight once again. And by training, their mission was a more personal one, involving tracking down Scyler's psychotic mother, an Energy Vampire, who attempted to corrupt Scyler to her cause. Scyler was able to overcome his mother and her zombie army, save his new master, and escape, only he had killed a local to do it, though saving a multitude in the process. However, this had recharged his desire for blood, and the stregthening to the Force that made him feel so alive. The Council, while applauding his efforts to save the people, also chastised his way in doing so. His punishment was to train yet even a few more years, though he was eventually accepted into Knighthood.

After a short career with the Jedi, and many incidences later, Scyler left the Jedi in pursuit of a life more fitting for himself and his kind. Realizing he couldn't change who he was, acceptance was just something the Jedi weren't able to offer him. They wanted him to change himself, but after almost two centuries, it was a lost cause. If he wouldn't change, they couldn't use him. So Scyler chose to turn his back on the Council and find his own path in the galaxy.
