DESCRIPTION
The SE-91C Countermeasures Package is the premier offering from Starchaser Enterprises for use in their own produced starships but also as an aftermarket modification for freighters, corvettes, and light transports. The package provides a rework of free space in a starship to provide a flare launching system, as well as an electro-chaff cloud dispenser. These are perfect for countering missiles, and certain combat droids that are hunting down the starship in question. The installation of this portion of the package does require the use of some of the ship's cargo space, and may remove some weapons systems, depending on size.

Additionally, and more excitingly, the system installs two electronic systems to the starship. The first is a tried and true smuggler trick, of a re-writeable IFF Transponder, perfect for the pilot who is looking to change their looks when running through whatever they may find themselves in. The ship system does take time to calibrate this and the ship must be parked to complete the change over. Additionally, the ship can only store a limited number of IFF signatures (approximately a half dozen).

Finally, the system installs a Starship Sensor Scrambler. This is an offensive countermeasure that can scramble an enemy starship's tareting system and sensor suite, providing limited coverage of the area of the ship it is launched from. This will provide the freighter some privacy and time to complete jump calculations, or enter an area in which to hide.

The SE-91C Countermeasures Package is on the open market but does work best in freighters, and exploration vessels, which tend to have more room to spare than a military vessel.
