The SE-91P Protective Capacitor System is Starchaser Enterprises' solution to advancing the starship game. This system is essentially a large battery that has two main functions. The first is to provide a location for advanced systems to be plugged into in order to not disrupt the primary ship's systems, and the second is to absorb the power-draining effects of offensive weapons including ion cannons. The capacitor does have a limited lifespan as it is a large battery, and must be recharged. Ships using this may experience longer-than-average time between flights, increased fuel costs, and the physical consequence of losing cargo capacity and/or starfighter landing areas. The system does scale with a starship and the end result is always approximately the same in proportion to the starship's needs, including cargo space or starfighter space.
