Second Chance: Updated

We had a member ask about Judge bias and that they feel like they may be targeted.

The power to avoid this is in the submitter's hands.

Here is what was PM'd to the submitter.

The solution to your situation is simple.

If <redacted> goes to approve another of your submissions and you feel it is unfair, you have the right to request a Second Chance - meaning you'll get another Judge (or Admin) assigned to your submission. Just say "I'd like to respectfully utilize my second chance for you as Judge of my submission, I'd like to request another Judge please." in response, and <redacted> is bound to inform the Factory Admin of this decision by the submitter. I am, in turn, bound to give you a Judge (or Admin) that is not <redacted>.

So long as you are pleasant & respectful (and not passive aggressive or anything like that), you will get a second Judge. That Judge is to ignore the previous Judge's rulings and make their own.

There is to be zero reciprocation towards a Submitter for requesting a Second Chance. Second Chance is a right, not a privilege. However, you only get one Second Chance per Submission.

If you have any issues, please PM me.

Any methods or moves by Judges to intervene, disrupt, or discourage requests for Second Chance, be it on the board or off the board by any means, will be met with swift retaliation by the Factory Admin.

The submitter does not, however, get a preference as to who the second Judge is.

I thought this was the point of the Second Chance threads already. So what is different between this announcement and the threads?
It was pointed out that the original ruling only said "once it's denied".

This states at any time, you can do it. You don't have to wait to get denied. Plus there's a general unawareness and lack of understanding of Second Chance. I hope this clarifies that.
