Second Life Astromotive is a partnership between Bodek Karsin, the majority owner and two other individuals holding a minority share: Dorin Tasker, of the builder caste with a specialty in starship design, and Herda Dornis, a fellow Laborer trained in corporate sales to be the chief salesperson. The corporation employs roughly 3,000 individuals, and is focused on the acquisition of surplus and outdated vehicle and ship technology which is repaired, remodeled, and remanufactured into like-new condition in specialty configurations by skilled personnel. The primary corporate facility is a 1,000 acre desert scrapyard where ships and vehicles are brought in, stripped, rebuilt, and reissued for sale. A 1 square kilometer manufacturing bay is also rented on the moon of Demisol where craft are remanufactured which are not capable of trans-atmospheric travel.

RATIONALE
The primary owner. Bodek Karsin, was the winner of a regional lottery on the planet of Madrus. Being a trained supervisor of the Laborer caste, he elected to invest his winnings into a new business idea: The remanufacture of surplus and outdated starships and vehicles. He solicited his friends Dorin Tasker and Herda Dornis to join the business as junior partners, leveraging their skills in starship design and corporate sales to the advantage of the firm.
