Seeds of an Uncommen Encounter

Vallory was quite liking the look of Commenor. A peaceful planet, in the middle of a galaxy full of crime, war and other most unsavory things. There were few systems that Vallory had been to that were as peaceful and safe as Commenor. But, nothing lasted for long. She doubted that it was all peace and quiet. Somewhere was some kind of crime. And she couldn't resist putting a piece of her own in there, even if it was small. And Vallory saw her chance at a fruit stall.

She stopped at a stall with an assortment of fruits, wearing a red dress. On the outside, she looked like a peace-loving citizen. She picked up what she recognized as a Corellian apple, examining it in one hand. "These are freshly grown, and so wonderfully...May I have one?" she asked the stall manager. The stall manager nodded, and Vallory handed them a few credits for the one apple.

She went along her way, chewing slowly into the apple, and once some distance away, she chucked up the second she had snuck away up in the air, catching it and taking a bite from that one as well. While smiling to herself.

[member="Darlyn Excron"]

And who else was a more fitting symbol of peace than Darlyn Excron, donning Mandalorian armor, wielding a small tank cannon for a pistol, and showing a power over the darkside only rivaled by those who wielded apple-red lightsabers? Well honestly, just about anyone would probably do better, but such poor luck wasn't entirely uncommon in the galaxy. As it was, at least he was good at his job, and was able to be the strong source from which this peace could bear fruitful results. Mmm... yes he was quite good at keeping the peace, it was ironic that rotten luck had been what brought him to such a place in the galaxy, where he could find temporary peace.

Why was he thinking about fruit so much?

He shrugged mentally, making his way along still until something caught his eye. [member="Vallory"] wasn't perfectly free from being observed, and he smirked a bit. Smooth hands. She moved fluidly, and so he would follow her, his footsteps heavy but rather well paced to fade into the dying day with ease. Tracking people was easy when you knew how. After they'd reached a place a bit further away still, he made his presence known by making an extra loud step, that would stand out. "Delicious apples aren't they? They taste a lot better when you don't pay huh?"

Vallory felt someone was nearby. Or rather, sensed it. Someone who had the force, but she dared not look back. No, she was like a spider, in the sense that she liked to lure them in, lull them into a false sense of security if she was being followed. Which proved to be the case when whoever it was wanted their presence known, making a heavy step. She stopped, one apple held behind with the other almost to he mouth. She couldn't help but smirk a little, then made it disappear quickly. No point in hiding both apples now. She turned quickly, clicking her heels together once she was around.

"These apples are delicious, I could not resist. You see, I am rather poor" she sweetly explained. "I was tasting this one for my mother, she has been rather hungry. And she will very much like this one." She was surprised to see that they were so armored, and it did make her fearful. But with that, it also got her a bit excited, knowing that if things went bad there could very well be a fight. A chance to cause a little something here and there. Then again, she also did not want to risk it. Vallory made a step to turn around, and started to try and walk away. "If you will excuse me, I must get it back to my mother. She will be worrying dearly."

[member="Darlyn Excron"]

[member="Vallory"] really was a bit daft wasn't she? Darlyn shook his head and stepped forward again. "If your mother was hungry and starving, you would've saved every bit you could, and she wouldn't care for the taste. I know that problem well enough. Now please don't lie when you've been caught, it's unseemly. Not to mention I'd hate to have to beat someone into submission over an apple. So would you kindly come with me to take care of everything swiftly? A bit of paperwork, some fines, and you'll get a nice room for the night. Or, I can shoot you with a stun pistol until you stop moving, or kill you if you try to kill me. Quite honestly I don't care what you do as long as we get it settled quickly, you dig? It's late and I have adoption papers to tend to."

Vallory stopped for a moment, giving [member="Darlyn Excron"] a chance to speak. He wasn't like most guys she met. She had to admire that, that he was willing to do anything to get it over and done with quickly. Once he was done speaking, she whirled around on a heel, then tossed him one of the apples. "Fine, I'll come along...This planet sure is strict, isn't it?" This wasn't the first time she had been caught red-handed on Commenor, and she had not spent that long on it. Causing so much trouble already. So, she dropped the innocent act, but didn't lower her defenses that far, only showing a small bit of her true personality.

"You can keep that one, and don't mind the bite out of it" she said, a tiny hint of a smirk across her lips, then she brought the one she still had to her mouth to take another bite. She'd bought this one, so she believed that she at least earned this one. "Think of it as a reward for catching me...so, where are we headed?"

Darlyn chuckled and tossed the apple in the air a couple of times, before the red orb froze just a bit above his hand. He slowly closed his fist, and the apple crushed inwards from the oppressive darkside power exerted on it. The juice splattered on the ground, and the remains of the delicious apple were tossed aside with a satisfied sigh. "Delicious indeed." He laughed, no longer talking about the fruit of course, and motioned her to come along. He tossed the now confused fruit vendor the credits for an apple without grabbing a new fruit, and began to wander towards the Palace with [member="Vallory"] in tow. "My office, of course. I keep the paperwork there, and there's a dungeon not too far where you can spend the night. Hopefully Amelia whats-her-face isn't there to bug me about methodology, that would be dull."

He'd met [member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"] once before, in a meeting ordered by Kay. He hadn't picked up on any particular love from the woman. Far as he knew she had distaste for his cavalier attitude. But at least he didn't care, beyond hoping to avoid any lengthy discussions, or lectures, when possible. "So, you mind giving me your name? I'm Minister Darlyn Excron."

Vallory's eyes widened in surprise, then she smiled with eyes of amusement and admiration. He did not care to show off his abilities in the open. She had a bit of knowledge in the force, but not as much as he. She could even feel a bit of the dark side from him. She almost blurted Amelia's name, as she felt that such an inspiration in her eyes should not be spoken in such a way. But, she kept her mouth shut. "A dungeon? Sounds like it'll be fun." She was fine with spending the night, she liked to mix up places she stayed at. She took another bite into her apple. it was almost all gone, by now.

She hesitated for a moment to Darlyn's question. "Gloria" she answered, lying to conceal her true identity as she usually did. "So, you are a Minister? A minister of what, crime?" she asked, with a hint of amusement. She wanted to at least have a bit of a play around with [member="Darlyn Excron"]. Already, he was quite an interesting figure. At least compared to the peace-loving citizens of Commenor.

"Don't get too excited, this isn't the fun kind of dungeon. More the 'take a leak in the corner hole' kind of dungeon. But with slightly better catering. Feels like only one cook spat in it." and it was semi obvious he was taking a slight detour, not following the direct path to the palace without severely lengthening the trip.

"Minister of crime though, I'll have to put that one up to the queen. Much better ring than Minister of Justice. Still get to pummel the odd criminal either way I suppose.. you know this cape used to be white?" he motioned to the scarlet cape to draw the attention of [member="Vallory"] to it. Naturally it wasnt trhe, it didnt take a genius to figure it out, but it madr him chuckle at the bax joke none the less.

She shrugged, though she did not like hearing the sound of that. It did not sound like the type of place she wanted to spend the night at. "Minister of crime, it does have a ring to it." She glanced at [member="Darlyn Excron"]'s cape, and it interested her. She understood what he was hinting at. "So, may I ask how long I'll be spending? I have things to do, people to meet" she said, sighing exhaustively. She followed behind him closely, and she rolled her neck on her shoulders a bit. "How much further?" she asked. She wished she had bought two apples, to do something while she was going.
