This was not a pleasant trip.

Caltin was here to find and meet with an old friend in Kahne Porte about a fever. This was an uncomfortable request that had to be made. However, the Force had a weird sense of humor and the big man had a vision he could not shake. It’s not that he was “afraid” or “concerned” about what might be happening, not in the manner that he would hold off or back in action. No this concern he was having involved someone close to him.

Michael Angellus ... son of GAL Ltd. was Force Sensitive. Caltin trained him in the basics, but since the vision, something was wrong. He needed to address it, but do so from a distance. It was the last thing that he wanted to do, but the big man had a rough time learning and growing as a Jedi, as did his son. He was not going to let his (great x9) nephew do so. He needed every opportunity to get it right.

So that is why he was here. Nothing was set in stone yet, nothing has happened yet but he wanted to prep what needed to be done. He needed the chips to be put down and while he just finished a great meeting with Briana Sal-Soren , he needed to follow it up. That meant going to and finding a potential master for the boy.

He didn’t know whether Kahne would like to take the kid on, he didn’t know if anyone would do so, but he had to try.

It was at the central square of Theed that he followed the Force to. Hopefully they would be able to meet up here.

"Make sure to get these patrols weaved around properly." The Jedi Master said to an assembly of Royal Security Corps personnel. The Jedi Master needed to be much more involved with these groups as a means to show unity and build great trust amongst them all. Training exercises, teambuilding exercises and leadership and various other ideas that Kahne had in his mind to further aid the Security Corps. "We need to center points here and here." The Jedi Master said, as the holographic image of the Theed was shown. "The people of Naboo cannot live in fear and be worried about what lurks on their streets. We will provide a constant presence that will ease their minds." The Jedi Master said, more presence would negate any lingering doubt about Naboo's safety and would deter the New Way from future attacks.

"That will be all for now. Good luck and may the force be with you my friends." The Jedi Master smiled and bowed towards the group, before turning and departing to Central Theed Square.

He was to meet an old friend, Caltin Vanagor whom he hadn't seen in quite some time. It would be good to catch up, however the Jedi sensed that this wasn't just a meeting for small talk. He sensed a certain tone in his old friends voice. The Jedi Master didn't want to even began to speculate, all would be revealed in time.

"Caltin!" The Jedi Master said with a smile seeing his friend from afar. "It's good to see you old friend." The Jedi Master smiled embracing him in a strong hug. "I trust you have been well?"

Offering a warm smile to an old friend, he offered a bow, only because of the Royal guard around them, show others respect if you want it in return, also show others respect they deserve. Those were two things he always tried to instill and inspire in those he taught. However, just as Caltin would offer a “bro hug” to his friend, he received one to which he was appreciative. Kahne was one of the few who would warrant this, not a negative reflection on others, but the Master was one of five total that he trusted with personal things, his custom lightsaber form being one of them. That was a conversation for another day though.

It was not easy to hide as Caltin was indeed heavy with the thought of something on his mind. Looking around with his hands on his hips, he nodded appreciatively at what he had seen. He took a deep breath, trying to clear his mind. He knew he had to make a decision soon and he wasn't quite ready for it. He needed time to think., so he decided to go for a walk around the village later. He needed to think clearly and make a decision that would best benefit everyone. He was determined to make the right decision.

... well enough… It was a vague answer and Kahne would know Caltin well enough that he would expand on it, but needed to “wind up”. Can we talk somewhere? I need your advice.

"Of course, always." The Jedi Master nodded as he led the way towards a local establishment that was frequented very often by the Vanguard members as well as members of the Royal Defense Force. The Jedi greeted a few as he led them to a secluded booth towards the back.

"A drink?" The Jedi Master inquired of his good friend and companion. "I'll have a cup of Ardees." Soon after Caltin Vanagor requested a drink if he wanted and the waitress walked away the Jedi started to speak.

"What is on your mind Caltin?" The Jedi asked curiously, yet concerned.

Following his friend into the establishment, he was not really in the mood to eat or drink, but things were looking good, and frankly, he did not want to be rude.

I’ll take an iced caf. One of the staff brought out some small sort of platter with bread and some interesting looking oil. Caltin took a piece and dipped it haphazardly, almost mindlessly as his mind was clearly elsewhere.

It took a moment for the big man to snap out of it.

Huh? Oh, sorry… Munching on the bite momentarily, Caltin collected his thoughts as he looked down at the appetizer and then back up. I had a vision recently, and I am not happy about it. In fact it spooked me, which is hard enough to do. Yes, I know that visions are only a “possible” future but there is too much to it that I cannot ignore what might go down. I don’t want to go into detail, but there is something I need to prepare for. You know that I have a very “strange” family dynamic, and a nephew… he’s a good kid… sensitive to the Force… I know he wants to train and I think that he needs to be here.

Sucking on his gumline for a moment, he finished his thought So that he doesn’t turn out like me. This was not some kind of morose failure or attempt at sympathy. Caltin had a rough time early on as a Jedi, and Connel was no better. Michael Angellus deserved the chance the previous two never had.

Kahne didn't press his old friend, even though there was a brief period of silence where Caltin Vanagor seemed to be lost in his thoughts. The Jedi Master paid no mind to his apology, he didn't need to. He was a good friend and would be patient and wait for whatever it was that he needed to get off of his mind.

"I recently advised someone else that was having issues, she had vision as well. Visions can be tricky sometimes, hidden meanings and all the like. Despite all the recent things that have plagued Naboo, there are truly great things happening here."

The Jedi Master showed a small smile towards his friend just as their beverages were being brought to them. Kahne took his, thanking the waitress and took a small drink before setting the glass down.

"If you feel he needs to be here, the Shiraya Order will welcome him. If you are asking my friend, I will look out for him and train him."

Just like that, eh? That was Kahne though, he did not question, or judge, or really waste time when it comes to this sort of thing. It should not have come to a surprise to Caltin, given how long the two have known each other.

I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am, and I wish to thank you for it. Taking a healthy sip of his drink then making a face as he reached for the sweetener, Caltin took another moment.

I still owe you “Spark” for getting me hooked on this…

Utlimately I just want him to be able to be a normal kid, but he has a lot of his father… his family in him. All about “service” and I can admire it, but I have also seen too many have this trait and it burns them out. Stirring the sweetener in, he made his point.

I don’t know if this is all going to come to pass, but it’s good to know that there is a plan in place here. The kid deserves that chance, his family lived on Naboo for a long time.

I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am, and I wish to thank you for it.

"You know it's not needed old friend." Kahne smiled and nodded his head toward Caltin Vanagor and raised his glass and took a small drink. He was concerned for him and of course he had a reason to be. The Jedi Master would do all that he could to ensure that he stayed on the path. He would advise, train, instruct and in the end it was ultimately up to Michael Angellus to choose his own path.

It was completely up to him, but with guidance he knew he would do fine.

I don’t know if this is all going to come to pass, but it’s good to know that there is a plan in place here. The kid deserves that chance, his family lived on Naboo for a long time.

"Even if it does, we will be here to face it. One thing I will always preach is that, not anyone of us, is ever truly alone. You have my full support."

An appreciative nod, as he took his own sip, and then another bite. It was a good feeling, the kid was going to need this more than he realized, if his vision came to pass, but he still hoped it wouldn’t.

Well said, and heartily agreed, my friend. Holding his cup upwards in a “cheers” fashion, he took another sip.

Either Connel or I will bring him to you. He’s a natural pilot and I have already taught him some of the basics… jump… run… awareness… speaking through the Force.. Taking another sip.
