Seeking a Dark Oasis

The Sith Empire is a place I didn't think I would return to. More over, didn't think I would require anything of them. My past was formed of fighting the Sith. In fact, I sought to defeat them, and my uncle. While I did end his life with the saber I now carried, It was not in my intention to be driven out by the likes of the Green Jedi. Secondly, I had my own sister attempting to take leadership of the Eclipse from me. She forced my hand. The only person I could rely upon now, was the singular priestess that had taken up her spot. Garbed in all white, a sign of the singular truth that was of the Eclipse, Death, she was the embodiment of such. However, she still was of my command. She lead the Faith, I lead the forces.

However, I hoped, that I might be able to pull some strings. If I could find the person. I had no clue if she was even still alive, let alone if she went by her name. I knew her as a Fireshaper, and she showed me some tips and tricks years ago. While now I am surely better than I was then, I wasn't coming for a social call. I was hoping that she could provide an In for my people. To live somewhere within the system, and follow their laws to some extent. I was unsure how the Empire operated now days. Seeing as how I had only be a part of them for a short lived time.

The best that I could find out, was that she may have been on Dromund Kaas. One of the Major planets of the Sith Empire. Always has been that way for hundreds of years. My ship entered orbit. Transmitting its codes down to the planet for confirmation to land. Finally we got someone.

"State your business."
"I come looking for Kaalia Pavanos."

There was silence on the line for quite some time. Surely they were attempting to find her, or were trying to come up with some reason to send me away.

"Transferring you to the correct line of communication."
"Do as you must."

I doubt the person on the other side heard me, but I did say so in case they did. There was quite some time of silence in which the priestess spoke to me.

"Why would you seek an old name out?"
"She and I have... similar backgrounds."
"How so?"

Lifting up my hand, a small flame was generated within the confines of my blackened fingers. The woman nodded her head silently as she understood to some extent of what I meant. We were Shapers, and sometimes, we needed to stick together. I had quenched the fire out and began to open up a datapad to look up more information when I finally heard from someone.

"Ignatius Imura, Correct?"
"Presently."
"What business do you seek of the Triumvir?"

That took me back a second. Triumvir. That was quite the high ranking for someone. Made sense why it was kind of difficult to find her let alone make contact with the woman. However, since I got this far, might as well try.

"I wish to speak to them about bringing my people into the fold of the Sith Empire."
"Are you specifically wanting this one Triumvir Pavanos?"
"Indeed."
"Hold for confirmation."

I guess now its in her hands to accept if I can land and speak to her. Just hope she remembers the scared child on Korriban all those years ago.

Avacyn's work for today was nearly done. Things had been rather uneventful today, a welcome change from the turbulent times that had characterized recent times. The death of her wife during the siege on Mandalore had devastated her, even if she had vowed to march into the Netherworld itself to get her back, a promise made to herself out of nothing but desperation. The realm of the dead had pushed all of her to its absolute limit and although her worst fears seemed so certain to come to pass, in the end Ishana's soul had been granted life once again. Ishana wasn't quite fully adjusted to everything like she was before and that was a lot of work for not only Ishana but Kaalia herself as well as she was there for her wife every step of the way.

Although things weren't back to the way they used to be and it seemed unlikely that they completely would, for the first time in what had felt like lifetimes life had settled down a little again. Avacyn sighed as she looked through a window from her private chambers at the highest floor of her citadel, giving her a stunning view of Kaas City's skyline. Her shoulders relaxed and her posture followed suit, but as she began to shift from being Darth Avacyn to simply Kaalia Pavanos, the holodevice in her chambers went off to notify her of an incoming transmission. Avacyn was returned to the surface before the blue holographic image of an imperial official appeared.

"Milady, we have identified a man, identifying himself as one Ignatius Imura, in orbit of Dromund Kaas," the man explained. Avacyn gave away little in the form of a response, be it verbal or non-verbal, though the name was somehow familiar. "He requested an audience with you specifically. How are we to proceed, milady?"

Then, she remembered. The Kro Varian. At first, the woman was inclined to turn the request down so she could go home early, but this changed things. Fellow Kro Varians were rare out in the galaxy, shapers even more so. Even though she knew little about him, hearing him out was the least she could do for one of her kind.

"Grant him permission to land and guide him to me. He is to be treated as a guest of mine."

"It shall be done, milady." As he bowed, the holographic image retreated back into the holodevice.

Today would not be so uneventful, after all.
