If you ask her where it began, she would detail the time she left the cult that raised her and began following her own path, finally separating herself from their whim. That was when her life truly began - if she placed any weight on the concepts of life or death.
Since that day she has been secluded to just one planet, but better for it. Surrounding herself with plants both alive and dead, along with bones of beings that once lived, she works towards her greater purpose: creating a state of existence beyond and outside of life and death. Because to her those are things that don't exist, only holding you back if you believe yourself to be constrained by them.
This has led to her creation of monstrosities that exist outside of that realm, using plants to knit together old bones and the Force itself to bring them a new existence. In combining them with poisonous plants and deadly spores, she's created weapons in her own right. This is a step, certainly, but there's still work to be done.
Very recently a shadow from her past revealed itself, and she has yet to decide what to do with it.
