WEAKNESSES
- Expensive: Like most Fukashi-brand cybernetics, the NX60 Exo-Spine is quite costly, and will certainly set one back a pretty credit or two. Although still possible for everyday people to purchase, it would likely require a lot of saving up in-order to do so.
- Surgery: Requiring a lengthy, and complex surgery for those who have not had optical cybernetic work done before, which the customer also must pay out of their own pocket for, unless they have a Nakaioma Medical Premium Membership, in which case the cost is covered. The process of receiving the implant(s), is equally expensive, and can only (officially) be done in specialized Fukashi facilities, by trained professionals. Although like many Fukashi cybernetics, an underworld market has formed around its illegal installation.
A product which Fukashi likes to parade around frequently, due to the many positive PR stories of it saving owners from falls, accidents, and assaults, preventing spine damage, and paralysation in the process. The Sekitsui NX60 Exo-Spine has since earned a strong reputation in the body modification community for being worth the money, depending on the safety of one's daily life, or just their paranoia. It is also commonly advertised as a simple quality of life upgrade, fixing, or preventing any number of back problems via removing the prime suspect of them all, the spine itself, and replacing it with something artificial, and infinitely better. Lacking many of the digital features, and network integration of other Fukashi products, for the reason that it does not require them, as it functions purely based off of the physical materials of which it is comprised, it is also immune to any form of electro-magnetic pulse, or slicing.
